66I think you guys need to update the timetable, I took the ferry for months now and I never saw a route (TSV - Magnetic Island) of 20 minutes. It takes always at least 25/27 minutes.
Enjoyed the experience and aircon. My sister lost her eternity ring in the parking lot. She contacted Sealink and spoke with James to ask if a ring was handed in. James rang her back within 2 hours to advise that the ring was handed in. Thank you James for the good service and to the honest person who handed it in!
A bit expensive (36$ return for an adult) and the parking is not include in the ticket! (9$ for a day)
Smooth and fast boat. Hassle free ferry service. Comfy seats and air conditioning inside made the crossing pleasant!
The service is punctual and friendly. The cat is quick! Make sure the hat is securely on your head and don’t forget to slip slip slap if you’re outside in the sun!

Front desk lady at magnetic island ferry terminal, Ellien who is a 40s or 50s lady with braid. She was really rude, and very unprofessional.
The story is I told her that I have booked a car via Sealink and would like to know where I can pick up the car. I showed her referencing quote number as i told her I didn’t receive any confirmation email. She said that is just quote. I said Alyssa has charged me $69 via the phone. I even showered her my bank transaction.
Then she said she needs to speak to her STL, u wait on the side. As she has about 4 customers there waiting for her to serve. So I called Alyssa for a confirmation email to save some time while I was waiting for her.
Then she got very angry saying that I didn’t wait for her. “Now u r speaking to my STL! ” While I was on the phone. Then I got the number, but she was on the phone complaining about me to someone saying “she doesn’t understand the difference between quote and booking reference, she has no patience and won’t wait for me. Now she just ruined my day. It is too early in the morning! ”
I explained to her that I was trying to save her time. It is not her fault as I didn’t receive a booking reference. Then she basically told me to stop talking as she was still on the phone complaining about me. Later after her call, she said “that is not how it works here! I told u to wait. But u don’t wait, because you have no patience! U talk to my STL, u were doing my job”, while she was pointing to me couple of times! I felt she was being so rude and being so racist.
Then I made formal complaint to her supervision Shannon via the phone on 27/3. I told her she can check the footage. She said she will follow it up and get back to me in couple hours. But she never ring me back.
This is very poor customer service via Sealink. I am very disappointed and upset how the front desk lady being so rude to me and her supervisor won’t follow up and get back to me.
P. S.other staff on the ferry and at Townsville ferry terminal were really great and friendly.
A very well organised transport service, easy to find terminal, LOVELY ladies behind the counter, clean terminal, clean boats and optimal organisation, you can see why SeaLink operate Nation wide! Thankyou SeaLink!
Great service and regular ferries. Buses are coordinated to arrive and leave around the ferry service.
Staff at ticket office had a busying morning when we went. Hard to get them to smile but they did. Terminal was packed but everyone was pleasant and working together. Getting on and off the ferry was good, trip was good, staff on the ferry great - full ferry. Getting off was good. Really nothing at all to complain about. OK one thing. Maggie ferry terminal has the toilets on the inside, so if you need to pee go during business hours
Just decided to jump on a ferry to Maggie for the day, great trip across via Sealink and nice walk around Horseshoe Bay and Picnic Bay
Sea link ferry services is fast as reliable and enjoyable when on board. My Partner and I were on ferry to Magnetic Island to spend our New Year there and see fireworks at the Nelly Bay and back. Pleasant and relaxing way to venture out to Magnetic Island. The ferry is modern and comfortable, staff are friendly.
Great service for a super busy Saturday, but who doesn't want to go to the Island in tropical NQ winter.
All the staff were very positive and upbeat, even at the end of the day on the way back. I saw one employee on the morning trip and he was asking everyone how they were doing and where they were heading today. And then I saw the very same employee on the way back still with the same positivity. The importance of positive staff for holiday-goers is underappreciated but clearly valued at SeaLink.
Ferry across from Townsville to Magnetic Island and back. Gerry modern and reasonably well organised. Expensive a bit I guess but everyone has to make a living. Buying tickets online saves $3/return per person.
Simple easy ferry services to Magnetic Island that seemed to operate very smoothly and on time.
Straight forward, good quality boats and stable rides to Maggie. Worth the money for the time it takes to get to Maggie alone.
Nice and quick service! They are always very reliable, weather permitting of course! Never had any issue here or at any other location! On this opportunity I just couldn’t book the round trip with rental car included. I guess they don’t have yet that many cars! But there’s plenty other companies on the island plus the Beam service is good there too!
