SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium reviews
76Great exhibits, the seal show was entertaining too. Have a 17mo with us and she was captivated. Could do with better cooling/air flow particularly in the dining/cafe area as it was very warm and stuffy in there. But otherwise a good stop for about 2 hrs.
Beautiful displays, lovely staff. Clean and friendly environment, byo food is recommended the only downside was the foodary
Bit pricey to get in but well worth it. Make sure you go out of school holidays. So you can just take your time to amble around and enjoy all the activities and exhibits and the children can actually touch a starfish.
Highly recommend the seal show and pay $30 for a photo
Pre book your tickets online.less of a wait in line
Parking can be a bit of a nightmare so factor that into your trip.
Staff are very helpful

The season passes are great value for money. You don't know joy until you watch a 2 year old excitedly point out the fish, rays and sharks in the underwater tunnel.
Nice but a bit small, pokey and older than the Cairns alternative further north. Once is enough. Very much enjoyed the seal show though.
Great experience. Was a little crowded at times. Great to see the underwater creatures in what is close to their environment. Seals and penguins a hit with the kids.
Amazing place to take the children. A little bit expensive compared to other aquariums and zoos which had more to look at. The seal show was cool, however expect to be crammed in like sardines. They request everyone to be 1.5m but we were almost sitting on the next persons lap at the seal show, a bit pointless having the set times as it was jam packed in there.
We had a great day with our 6 year old granddaughter, including feeding the fairy penguins. Next time she wants to mee the seals and sealions!
I love aquariums, and this one was awesome! The variety of sea life was great, the seal show was quite extraordinary, and the pricing of the tickets are quite reasonable when you consider what they offer for it. I recommend this place to everyone, child or adult:)
The glass tunnel was awesome and gave an up close experience with sharks and rays without having to get in the water with them.
Very good attraction so much to see and my 8 year old granddaughter just loved it, best money I have spent for a long time
The team at sealife shark encounter were incredible people and very accommodating to those of us who were very anxious. The feed days for the sharks are on Monday mornings so you WANT to go when they are hungry.sounds crazy but they know who feed them and it therefore makes a better encounter when they are coming right over to you.
They train you in how to dive before you go in and are there if you get worried at all.
I was unsure about aquariums but was delighted to find out that they care well for the animals that are unable to survive in the wild and are very passionate and keep upto mental well-being checks for every fish/shark/ray etc that they have!
I'd still prefer wildlife encounters (such as swimming with whales in Hervey Bay) but this was actually a memorable experience in the end.
Really lovely staff our daughter who’s nonverbal 17 had a lovely day today with her support workers thanks to the wonderful staff.
If I'd kids maybe I'd give this a higher rating but for 2 adults it wasn't great. My biggest issue was the failure to ensure people wore masks despite repeated signage advising that they're mandatory. The total lack of social distancing, especially at the seal show was a joke. The whole set up was sad and not a patch on the Melbourne Aquarium.
My children adore Sea Life and have always had an amazing and educational experience from the time they were babies to now they are 4yo and 5yo! From the underwater tunnels to the seal show (wich is hillerious) we always have a great time.
Fun and friendly for kids. A great day out, interactive, learn stuff and have fun at the same time! Reasonable prices. Helpful staff.
It would be nice if I was actually able to go. I remember going SeaLife Aquarium when I was little and thoroughly enjoying it. I would have loved to have gone this week with my girlfriend but there is a problem you have to online book in order to gain entry. Oh well, I thought, I can easily do that, however, both of our cards were declined despite having enough money to book two tickets. The site also offers no help for when this error occurs and there is no real contact information, they offer a live chat which doesn't work and just keeps looping me back to the contact us page.
Enjoyed the visit as usual, nothing new but still worth the money. Lose one star for packing us in like sardines for the Seal island show, we were asked to shuffle across twice to fill the seats to full capacity, social distancing went out the window. Then lose another star when the power went out, no backup supply, asked about our photos, reply was basically a shrug of the shoulders, “power is out” is all the response we got. Still I suppose we’ll be back next year
They have signs throughout regarding social distancing and then you get to the seal show and they cram everyone side by side
Nice aquarium, the seals were adorable and loved walking through the tunnel with massive stingrys and sharks around.only complaint is how narrow some of the spaces are which before COVID wouldn't have been a problem, but definitely cramped.also there was a particularly clear path through, my partner and i got a little lost and had to back track, but was a good 1.5-2 hr spent:)
