Bought a mobility scooter here and the after sale service was abysmal. The scooter would not charge properly and the scooter was returned to the store twice and both times we were told it was fine only to find there was no improvement. In desperation we paid $500 for new batteries and it hasn't missed a beat since. Would never buy from this store again.

I am now on my third Lotus Blake Montana scooter, over many years. I have MS and would be lost without it. This one is the Magnifique model, fabulous!

1 star is generous, very poor experience. Sent the item back 4 times, as it was defective. Purchased the Montana Magnific Scooter for $4600, a wheel came off, was told to repair it myself and to purchase additional kits from the company to do so.the scooter still didnt work as intended.had trouble using it for under 5kms distance, it was sent in for repairs and we were told there was nothing wrong with it and were charged and additional $325.this product claims to be the BEST scooter available for purchase, in my experience it has been the absolute worst i have ever seen.

Lost any possible sale as he treated me like an idiot so I told him he was rude and hung up. He told me he was not getting through to me and I consider myself well educated and well informed. Don't expect great service for $3000.00.

Thanks for the ongoing service. Our father due to his age could no longer use his beloved scooter. When we originally purchased it, Scooter City said they would buy it back and they kept their word.
Thankyou.

Scott, owner, very unassuming. Passion for the product is only out weighed by his compassion for the customer. Honestly he is just a beautiful soul

Have had my TYCOON for over a year now and I have had fantastic service from Ross at Scooter City. Remember potential buyers of golf scooters, they are the only company in Brisbane that import, guarantee, service and repair their own scooters, ALL the others are Melbourne based. WE have quite a few TYCOONS at our club. Best scooter and service in town.

I am motivated to write this review as an expression of appreciation to Ross and his team in the Service and Technical department of Scooter City.
I love my Tycoon golf Scooter nearly as much as the game itself and being an inquisitive engineer spoke occasionally to Ross seeking technical advice plus the odd spare part. Without exception he presents as a polite, professional and highly knowledgeable technician with an impressive background in his field.
Thanks for all your help Ross.
Best regards ; Raymond Leech, Melbourne, Victoria.

Superior customer service from Scott and the Team at Scooter City as they went out of their way to help out a person who has limited knowledge of Mobility Scooters. Highly recommended them for all your scooter needs and it was nice to meet staff passionate about their work.

The service we received was something that one no longer receives in this day and age
Ross was so professional, attentive to our requests explained what needed to be done and why we could not fault any aspect of the service we received from Ross was very nice to deal
With someone younger than myself that showed true patience and honesty. Ross is a credit
to your company

Bought a second hand Esteem scooter here at Rocklea and have nothing but praise for the service received. As a visitor to Australia this was a scooter I knew nothing about but Ross's patience in explaining everything was so helpful. Then when problems occurred they were competently dealt with under warranty without question. Thankyou all for great service not to mention a wonderful mobility scooter. Irene

Thank you to the team at Scooter City! My mother is delighted with her new Esteem scooter. She traded in her old scooter because it was so uncomfortable but she got a great price for it. All the advice and help we got was fantastic so thank you again Damo for giving my mother back her freedom!

No morals, no care or compassion. And they rip off the elderly while supposedly providing a service to them. Disgusting.

On June 20 my father, the greatest dad a guy could ask for, left this earthly plane. It was sudden but not unexpected. He’d been given a twelve month terminal diagnosis, but that had come less than two months before he passed.

On the Thursday before Dad went into hospital, he woke up in the morning and came to the decision that he didn’t want to spend the rest of his days in a lounge chair. So he and Mum came to the decision to go and look at purchasing one. Their expedition led them to Scooter City of Rocklea Qld, where the owner, Scott showed them his most popular model, a motorised scooter that could be folded down and fit in the boot of their car. Mum and Dad were interested but at close to $2.5k they weren’t sure they could afford it as they were still waiting on their ACAS assessment for funding. They went home to think about it and on the following day after ringing ACAS and finding out that funding would still be quite a while before being approved they decided to bite the bullet and use their meagre savings to purchase the scooter. So they called Scott and said they would take it, Mum transferred the money and they arranged that they would come and pick it up on the following Monday.

It wasn’t to be however. On Saturday Dad was rushed to hospital with extremely low oxygen levels, by Sunday it was pretty clear that he was not likely to make it back home. So on Monday Mum called Scott and explained the situation and that they would no longer need the scooter. Now this should be where the story ends but unfortunately it isn’t. “No problem” said Scott “it’s my most popular model, I’ll refund your money as soon as I sell it, less 20%. ” My mother, being understandably distressed agreed without really thinking about what Scott had said. (Note this is of course paraphrased as I was not involved in this particular conversation). Nearly $500? Just for rolling a motorised scooter a few meters from the showroom to the back room and leaving it there for a couple of days?

When Dad heard he was cranky, if he could have got out of bed and storm down there he would have. I told him not to worry about it, and that I’d call and reason with this Scott guy. So I called Scott and told him who I was. I explained the situation again and that Dad was not going to be making it home. I told him that 20% seemed a little unreasonable and asked him to reconsider. “What do you do for a living? ” Scott bellowed down the phone at me. I told him I worked in healthcare. “Well I’m a business man” Scott continued to rant. “You don’t know what it’s like to run a business. People have been paid. ” (I would like to point out that being as Scott is both the business owner and the salesperson the only person getting paid was him and when he resells the scooter he was going to get paid again.)

The day following Dad’s passing. Mum received a terse email from Scott. It asked for her account details and said the amount would be refunded less the 20% once the scooter had been resold. It also said that Mum had to respond to the offer within 24 hours, though gave no details as to what might happen if she didn’t. Mum decided to try calling Scott herself. She asked if he would reconsider the 20% explaining that Dad had just passed the previous day and that they relied on the pension and that they really couldn’t afford it. Scott yelled at her down the phone; “Don’t try and play on my emotions. I’m a business not a charity! ”

In the end Mum has had to accept his offer but she has made reports to the relevant authorities and they are looking into it. I would suggest if you are looking for a scooter, you look elsewhere.
