They are extremely OVERPRICED. You can buy most items brand new for cheaper.
Definitely running a business and not a charity shop/ helping people in need.

Whoever is doing the pricing here really needs a reality check. It has a tonne of potential to be a great store but alot would need to be addressed before that could happen.

Amazing staff and great selection of stuff. Best prices for gently used clothes and other things. I like coming here often to find good bargains on clothes.

If you are starting out this is the Salvos store to go to. Some op shops are a bit expensive but this one is reasonable and well stocked. I would tell any battling couple/people or 1st time renter youngsters to make this your 1st stop. Keep in mind though they can arrange delivery it could be more than the item you choose. So if your after furniture choose a few things or one expensive thing. Not much point paying $20 for a chair and $50 delivery. Cheap white goods etc. This is my no1 op shop. Love it.

Baffles me these guys have under 4.0 rating, it’s a huge store with lots of different items to choose from and the staff are nice too.

Always great prices for items. And a big store. Some stuff is better quality than other stuff. One of my favourite op shops.

Great OP shop, well priced and fair. Staff professional, restock shelves often. I like this one, not greedy and for that I am a regular and spender.

I really like this store, but didn’t have a good experience yesterday. I had completed my loyalty card and went to use it on 2 full priced clothing items yesterday. The young, slim, blond straight hair lady said I had to buy 10 items to get the 50% off. I said it said a limit of 10 items not that you have to buy items. I guess otherwise it would say minimum 10 items. So she didn’t give me the discount and I left as I was in a hurry. I tied to ring the salvation office to clarify from the car but they are closed until Monday.

Staff are often unfriendly and unhelpful and most of the items in the store are way overpriced priced, except for the clothes deal for the two colours of the week. Staff will never offer to pack what you've purchased or help you carry it to your car.

This is the best salvos I've been to in QLD. In all aspects it's really good. I hope nothing ever changes!

On a rare outing, I visited the Underwood Salvos Store. I asked MARIA, Store Manager if I could use my Blue Pension Centrelink Card for the 20% off clothing discount offered from Thursday-Saturday as per the sign near the counter (and I pointed out several signs advertising this out to her). I even showed her the card and she said, yes I could use it.

When I was ready to be served I bought my two items to the counter and got my card out again. I was happy to see she would be serving me as she is the staff member who I had asked/shown my card to earlier. She said she wanted ID like a Driver’s License. I told her I don’t have a Driver’s License and she initially refused me the discount. I then pulled out a few letters from my bag, all with my name and address on them and she said, ‘you could be anyone’. I am upset with her suspicious attitude towards me. I have done nothing wrong. I am the owner of the Centrelink Blue Pension Card that I produced. I have a significant health problem the reason why I have the card. The Salvos staff may have noticed that I only walked half way down the store, a result of my disability. I have never driven, again as a direct result of poor health/disability. One would think that the Salvos Stores 20% for clothing is designed to help people but now because I can’t drive and therefore can’t produce a Driver’s License I will not be able to access this discount? Funny enough, I don’t always have it with me so don’t often get to use it but did have it today because I needed it for my earlier Doctor’s visit that day. I’ve had trouble using it at a Salvos Stores on only two occasions, today and last year both times were at the same Underwood store (the reason why I asked/showed the card and then double checked), the other time I was told it was the wrong card and they wouldn’t honour my discount even though I have never had that said to me at a Salvos Store before.

I pointed out that the signs didn’t mention ID/Driver’s License was needed and she said that, ‘You will find this is everywhere’ which was a lie. I wonder if the aged/elderly are asked for a Driver’s License to access the discount? Or was I being judged for some reason? I hadn’t even left the store and she was talking about me to the next customer, actually two/three customers, the one that she was now serving and the one/two next in line could also hear as I heard enough to know that she was saying something about me which I do not appreciate as it is bullying and I don’t come into a Salvos Store to be bullied by your staff.
After weeks of waiting for a response and several follow up emails from my end (most ignored), I finally got a reply from Stuart Estreich Area Manager who advised that if I wished to use my Centrelink Card for 20% off (selected clothing only) I would have to sign a piece of paper in front of staff and show ID with my signature on it where signatures will be compared. I kid you not. The Salvation Army even admitted that this is not procedure/random yet they are prejudging doing it to me when I have done absolutely nothing wrong and which will humiliate me at the front counter in front of staff and other customers. Is it okay to discriminate, humiliate and accuse people of doing the wrong thing? All for 20% off some clothing which totaled 70 CENTS for me!
Today I receive an email from Brad McIver who said that he was told by someone at this store (hmm, who!) that I was witnessed handing my card around to members of the public so they too could receive the 20% off discount. THIS IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE / NEVER HAPPENED. Funny this is the first time that this has been mentioned even when I had contact with The Salvation Army Liaison Officer who assured me that that my initial claim was fully investigated. Nothing mentioned about this at any time until today. Disgusting behaviour, making up a lie to make me look and feel bad because you did the wrong thing and are not person enough to own up to it. As far as I am concerned you are not fit to hold your position working with the public. I can PROVE YOU are LYING.
