Salt Cafe Urangan reviews
62Dog friendly, vegan options, beautiful place, great menu, food and wine and really nice service. 10/10 from us - thank you!
Overall a nice outing for Breakfast. The waitresses were all lovely and our food come out quickly and tasted amazing! The only downsides were that the bar tables are difficult to sit at and my brothers back was in the sun for the whole meal. Would like to come back but will get a different seat next time.
Iced Mocha:
Great cafe with an extensive menu, delicious coffees, and the BEST mushroom omelette I’ve ever had
Arrived at 6: 40 and left before 7: 30. Was told unable to seat outside even though it was empty at all times.
I think this is one of the best positioned cafes in Hervey Bay. Friendly nice team. Food is fine. Good by Hervey Bay standards. I know it is a busy time of year and there may be new staff on board, but the team does need a bit more training on the contents of the menu. Weren’t able to answer some basic questions regarding the food and then mixed up our order which I think was due to not understanding the menu. There was confusion when we sent the food back and they tried to charge for the incorrectly ordered meal.
Had breakfast here twice while I Hervey Bay. So yummy we went back after the first day. Food was well presented and delicious. I had the vege grill.mm.mmm. And a cafe must; the coffee was good. And hot!
As regulars to Salt we would usually give it a 5 star review but went there this morning & waited at over 10 minutes (very few people there so not a very busy time) at least 4 different staff looked at us more than once waiting at the "Wait here to be seated" sign & walked back inside. After finding one of the girls who had seen us & walked away several times she said she'd get someone. When someone eventually came to the counter with people lined up behind us we were told it was only coffee & cake available. Really hope this is a one off & the boss has a chat to the staff about basic customer service.
Food was fantastic, and despite not having a booking and being packed, the staff was able to get us a table within minutes.
Sadly the service was very slow.had to pick up our own drinks after they sat on the counter for over 5 mins even with countless waitresses walking by.food also took a very long time to come out and was average.overall didn’t feel very welcomed here and definitely was not worth the cost
Unreal location, awesome food and great staff! What more can you ask for.
Food is presented terrific and the taste is there to go with it! Nice range on the menu which all sounds unreal!
Recommend to try!
Lovely spot overlooking the water, great menu options and lovely team. Beautiful food and decent sized meals
Beautiful place and nice environment. Busy lunch time shows its popular. We have tasted their King prawn, Salt beef burger and other dishes, all taste good with friendly service. We are glad to visit here again when in Harvey Bay.
Best breakfast in Hervey Bay!
Had an amazing Dirty Chai and Breakfast here, all 3 diners were very happy with their meals, pleasant and quick service and well cooked tasty meals.
Highly recommend!
Dog friendly too for bonus points!
The staff here were friendly and the coffee was lovely. But when it came to the food, the chef must of been having a bad day. Our food looked nothing like the photos in the other reviews.
I had the avo on toast and it was dumped on the plate. A full avo just cut in half, a scoop of whipped feta dumped on the end of the toast and that was it. No garnishes, no attempt at presentation or flavours no nothing. The other ones on the reviews look amazing but the service we got from the kitchen was subpar at best. It was not that busy at all. They never offered us water at all and when we did ask for some it was warm.
This is one of the best places to sit and enjoy a breakfast with a view.
Inside is nice, outside is better.
And the food is good portions at great prices.
Big breakfast is exactly that.just look at the pic. Lol
Take your time, enjoy the day. And eat well.
Great location facing the ocean. Excellent attentive customer service. Lunch on a Sunday starts at 11: 45. The Thai noodle salad was authentic and generous. The Italian bruschetta was well presented and lived up to the menu description. Delicious! The house made lemon, lime and bitters was appreciated for being original in its recipe. Overall a good experience and fairly priced.
I love this place but was soo underwhelmed with the seriously over priced seafood platter for 2. Should of purchased 2 meals and shared for half the cost. In saying that what was there did taste good. Just really badly over priced.
Great views to Fraser Island and the pier. They also do a great vegetarian breakfast and oat milk coffees and decent scones
Great view, friendly staff, delicious brunch. I’ve dined here for brunch for a few times and recently I went with my partner’s mother. She accidentally spilt her wine and the lady with glasses that served us came over and kindly replaced her wine free of charge. I believe to give credit where credit is due
Menu doesn't match up to in-store menu, charging nearly $20 for a Eggs Benedict that doesn't include bacon or ham? Worse yet, charging $5.90 to add it!? Robbery, won't be back unfortunately.
Staff were amazing, unfortunately a negative experience due to blown out prices and a very average hollandaise sauce.
