Russell Island Bowls Club

Very nice place. We were just visiting the island and my family took us here for a meal. We felt very welcomed and had a lovely meal.

Foods edible.
Compared to some places on the island this food is good.
Those places are pretty bad.

First time being there had a horrible experience.
Staff were extremely rude. Weren’t helpful and the atmosphere made us feel uncomfortable.
We booked a table and the courtesy bus. Both were not organised.
Food was also undercooked.
Will never go back there again.

Can have great food, just not always consistent. Great bar service. And it appears the smokets love it.

We just wish there were outside areas free of cigarrette smoke, especially if live music is on.

Wait staff could be a little more friendly, bar staff were great though! My rump steak was absolutely delicious, perfect cooked medium-rare. Mouthwatering. Will be back before my time in Russell Island is up for sure!

Very good food and the service was amazing. The staffs very friendly and helpful.

A very lively venue. There was a musician player, who for me was so loud I could not easily converse with my companions. A multitue of activities took place under the roof from card playing to dining. The food was very well priced as were the drinks.

Always fun and laughter shared here, meals and entertainment are great, try some barefoot bowls this weekend!

As of late they make one of the best beefsteak I've ever had anywhere! Nice enough place, pointless 1950s type rules in place.

Just want to shout out to Laurie who drives the courtesy bus for always getting me home safely. Also the club for always looking after all the customers. The club is always such a friendly and fun place to be.

Amazing Pan Fried fish!
It’s actually Cajun style with holandaise sauce with mash and veges - I came back for a second night to have it again - highly recommended

Played in 4s comp. Over 2 days well organised. Food was good and bar staff friendly and efficient.

Great club for a drink and some food. Food was served hot and reasonably quickly. Pricing for good and plate size was generous.

Highly recommend eating/visiting here. Recently had a family gathering on the Island and had lunch and dinner at the Bowls Club. The meals were all wonderful and we all really enjoyed our time there. Thank you so much for all the help with our event. Also the efforts made to accommodate our many dietary requirements was really great - and much appreciated. In all our visits to Russell we had not yet been to the RIBC, but our visit was so nice that we will definitley be back again!

A great place to meet friends, eat a great meal at Little Jacks bistro, and play lawn bowls on a beautifully maintained green. A very convenient courtesy bus service with courteous knowledgeable drivers.
Overall, a friendly and growing club.

Very enjoyable. All the meals were cooked and presented very well. Good prices for food and drinks. Looking forward to going back again and trying the roast.

Checked out Little Jack's Kitchen. New restaurant, new owners. Most unbelievable Cajon pork with Garlic Cream sauce. Would be back tomorrow for another but they are closed for Good Friday!

What a wonderful, friendly club. If you play lawn bowls do yourself a favour and make time to play at this club.

The food was great had fish and chips with no salad, don't let the size of the box fool you there was heaps. Will be back for sure
