RSPCA Op Shop New Farm reviews
41 Highly overpriced and keep the nice stuff for themselves.
Notice all the good stuff is Not for sale. Funny that suppose to be for charity lol
Something is wrong with the staff here. I came for a donation and they acted like they were doing me a favour while all of them standing there doing nothing
Such a gem of an op shop. The RSPCA op shops are fantastic. They have great stuff, friendly staff and very reasonable prices!
Unbelievably high prices. The parking was terrible and the Ladies behaved as though they were working in an up market Boutique.
Maybe this is what the inner city is ok with but it's definitely NOT Op shop standard. Very disappointed.
As a tourist, this shop was amazing and had some really great things. The staff were so nice
So refreshing to finally see a second hand store in inner Brisbane that is not exorbitantly priced. Got my self a few excellent items and the ladies were all so lovely. Vinnies and Salvos need to take a leaf out of this organisation’s book.
Lovely little op shop. Great prices and friendly staff. I did buy some glass wear from there and both bowls were chipped so I can't use them. My fault for not looking properly. Maybe staff can keep an eye out for things like this. I will definitely be back, you guys are way better than Life line, Salvos and Vinnies.
Nicely presented op shop. However, when trying on some clothes in the fitting room I was rudely interrupted as one of the staff opened the curtain on me while getting changed. I felt extremely uncomfortable. I understand that I had a backpack but the staff could have easily asked to check it before I left the store and that would have been fine and completely understandable. Overall, the clothing it great but if you even look mildly suspicious they’ll eye you off while you shop.
This op shop is a hit and miss. It has some decent brands (Kathmandu, Nautica, Country Road etc) which are reasonably priced. But it also is notorious for having designer fakes. So just be wary.
Unfortunately the lady who served us today (animal print shirt) was so uncomfortably rude. I understand you might be a volunteer, but if you aren't enjoying what you do, maybe this isn't the right place for you. Such a shame.
Edit: Just went to wash the pants we purchased, and found a face mask in the pocket of the pants. Just disgusting. Please be more diligent before putting used clothing items up for sale.
We want to support your store but you have made it so hard to!
It took me many calls to find a store to take clothes. Happy to donate. The clothes they can’t sell, get shipped to developing nations. Donations from 9am to 2pm. Parking available. I’ve been to the store to look around before, nothing in my size. Friendly staff on arrival & when I called this week.
I dropped off donations here and looked inside the shop. The shop is very clean, well laid out, the staff or volunteers are all very nice. This shop support the RSPCA.
Lots of parking next to the shop as well as street parking.
Love this shop I'm regular for many years now. Shop for rudi and got him so many things there too.
Used to be the best op shop in the area. Now they charge $6 for faded, pulling, and torn shirts (and not the fashionable kind)
So disappointed with how much they’ve changed in the last year.
Got there at 3.40pm, shop closed so can't give star rating.
Website and shop state open until 4pm.
Will just have to try another time.
First time there today. Good collection of good quality items with prices that ensures fresh stock. The biggest let down was that one of the female staff there is incredibly patronising.it was a bit rude and was a wierd experience as I'm an op shop fanatic and normally volunteers at these places love their work and the vibe is generally really great. Hence i like going to these types of stores because of nice people. But not here sorry. 3 star because the man at the register was really helpful, efficient and nice. Would have been 1 start otherwise.
Love RSPCA and always donated stuff here. Recently, I visited the place and I’m not happy with some of the staff. It doesn’t hurt to be nice, most specially in that line of business.
Dropped off a lot of very good clothes and crockery items. Very perfunctory greeting. “ just drop it on the table, sorry I’m very busy” that was it. Didn’t seem very appreciative. I’ll try elsewhere next time. I hope they get some value out of it all!
I've marked this review a 5 star because I love the work the RSPCA do. But they new farm female staff are incredibly rude and snooty (as stated in other reviews) when receiving donations. I haven't been back to the new farm store since. But will continue to support the other RSPCA op shops
There are bargains to be had, but other items are very over priced. Not the great op shop of 2 years ago
