Been shopping at Rocking Horse since the mid 70s. It's changed locations a few times but it's still got a great range and personalised, knowledgeable staff. Don't get there as often due to distance but enjoy visiting any chance I can.

Best record shop everrr best psych and garage section ive seen in a general record shop (ive found the music machine, the blues magoos, the standells, the remains, the shadows of knight, the seeds ect) thank you for feeding my record collection and the staff are always so nice and friendly and helpful as well

Ordered 2 Botch records and AC/DC's "Powerage". All arrived in pristine conditon.well packed with sturdy boxes.reasonably priced! Great communcation and friendly customer service! Highly recommended sellers!

Wonderful used and new vinyl shop in the center of Brisbane, wide selection of authors and musical genres and lots of gadgets (t-shirts, famous band hats and live concerts) good prices when compared to similar shops in Italy

Excellent customer service when asked for help. Warwick Vere you're a gem. I bought an early rolling stones record which he had out the back. It's a present for my older brother. Thank you so much for a great experience looking at vinyl once again. I'm in my mid 60's travelling around Australia & this is definitely a 5 star day. Highly recommend this great store online or a physical visit even better.

I used to be a regular here in the late 70s and 80s and I loved it. Now, after quite an absence, I did find it as good as ever. Lots of vinyl to explore. However!
Just tried off loading five albums, all in good nick, queen, the church, a Bowie. Offered me 20 bucks for the five. Given what they charge that's a helluva mark up. I only took them in because their website refers to buying vinyl. Pretty insulting price tbh. Won't be back. A few days later, a competing vinyl shop gave me three times the price for the same albums. I really strongly advise against trying to sell/exchange records here.

Found an item that has been hard to find lately, I received the item from them 36 hours after ordering. Top stuff.

Literally could not be happier with this place.i went in looking for a specific album that i had not been able to find anywhere else and was honestly not expecting to find it here.i was so excited to find it finally! The staff are also very nice and helpful and the vinyl range is really good if youre into indie music

Poor customer service. 2 months ago I ordered a record. At the time I was told it should be in store in about “2 to 3 weeks”.

A month later I followed up because I hadn’t received a text confirming it’s arrival. I was told that the order had been delayed and this was “common” for this distributer.

Another month went by so I followed up again. I asked again whether the record had been sent by the distributor. The clerk told me it had been delayed again. When I asked whether there was an estimated timeframe the clerk was quite unhelpful. He told me they don’t have any information.

I asked him whether Rocking Horse could follow up to which I was told it depends on the distributor. I asked whether Rocking Horse could send me a text message once they they receive any updates …. To which the clerk told me no.

So I asked what options do I have. The clerk said I could either continue to wait for an indefinite period, or cancel the order.

To his credit he did search for other distributers who might be able to supply the record.

However, I didn’t appreciate being treated with such hostility and given very little options. I had to be the one to porpoise alternatives.

I understand the record isn’t being printed by Rocking Horse but at least set realistic timeframes with me when I make an order.

Rocking Horse need to provide better costumer service by setting realistic expectations, show some empathy to customers when orders are delayed by months, provide updates, and provide better options.

There was a problem with the description of a purchase I made on Amazon, I emailed them to let them know what had happened and they were absolutely lovely and helpful. They paid for my return postage straight away which was from the UK to Australia (not cheap as you can imagine). Their communications have been exceptional, helpful and informative.
The mark of a good shop is how they handle a return and these guys handled it with style.
Highly recommend shopping with these legends.

Excellent shop for vinyl however vinyl is very expensive due to consumer demand and sellers are taking advantage of this. Great staff. Excellent service.

My favourite record store in Brisbane! Great selection of vinyl and cds - both new and second hand - with many rare and obscure titles stocked along with the more popular ones. Whatever your prefered music genre is, you will find it well represented here. Friendly and helpful staff too. Definitely a Brisbane music icon!

Amazing! Huge range and was pleasantly surprised to see some records from smaller artists. Staff were very helpful as well
