Driest chicken I have ever tried to eat. Usually love red rooster but the Moorooka store really lowers their reputation.

BEWARE- We ordered a meal deal for dinner tonight- takeaway. My husband returned home with the food and the crunchy slaw smelt putrid. It was off, out of date. The fried chicken was burnt and very hard. When he rang initially to complain the lady he spoke to was very rude and refused giving a refund.
I rang spoke to the manager who said he would refund. My husband drove all the way back there to only be given $4 refund for the slaw. That’s it. So not only did we have an inedible dinner, we wasted time out of our night driving back and forth for what? $4.
Do yourself a favour DO NOT attend the Moorooka Red Rooster. The food is absolutely terrible and the service no better.
Never Again! Let’s hope my young daughter and husband do not end up vomiting all night due to food poisoning!

Asked for honey chicken. Got fried chicken with a line of honey sauce. Greatly dissapointed
2 boxes of chips thrown in the rubbish today because they were so over salted nobody could eat them!
I wish the service was faster and if that's the only negative I have. Food fresh and hot and the staff were great

Standard fast food restaurant. Sides are better when compared to KFC. Their spicy fried chicken though lacks flavour when measured up with the Colonel

The drive through I went through once wasn’t a very pleasant experience. So tight to turn around with the car and hard to get the order right through the speakers. Only try if you don’t care about the vehicle you’re in.
Dine in or Takeaways are the only option, that way they can’t escape from giving the correct items as per the order. Never try drive through!
If I could give zero stars, I would. Drove through a few moons ago now for a take out dinner after a long few days and nights working on the front line. I got home to find that the whole chicken I was given was lukewarm. The skin, dry. Very obviously, not a fresh chicken. I called the store to ask what time the chickens had been made and the person in charge said it was fresh but didn’t know what time. He told me he had started his shift at 12: 30 and they were already there. It was nearly 6pm when I had ordered. I gave the manager and him an educated talking to about food safety and the importance of this and that not all customers are at an intellectual level to know this and that this is their responsibility to ensure a quality standard. I feel for those that have special needs and wouldn’t have realised before eating it themselves or feeding to their children. I didn’t even bother returning for a refund.
Red rooster chicken. Wow. Wings where crispy and moist, onion rings where delicious and the chocolate mousse was delicious. Red rooster really has the best chicken.
The food is good; no-one does chips like Big Red. What gives it 5 stars for me is the Manager. Order through Doordash (steer clear) for the family, and the driver totally messed up the order. The store's Manager went above and beyond in order to address and remedy my issue. Can't remember his name, but top notch service.
This is not the first time that we have placed an order at the drive through and received less than what we paid for. The order is also always incorrect. CHECK YOUR ORDERS BEFORE YOU LEAVE! It is as if the staff are absent when doing their work. This has happened again tonight and we are FURIONS!
Got the worst chips ever, asked for fresh chips and got argued with. Don't waste your time or money here.
Staff and Management are hard working. Took my order and checked it carefully after I had placed a somewhat confusing order. This level of attention is absolutely absent elsewhere. Good food, great service, a good experience.
