I agree with some of the negative reviews here. There is definitely room for improvement for some of the doctors here who can be dismissive and lacking good rapport with patients.
However, my family and I have been seeing Dr. Conrad Xiao for many years. He’s given the most practical advice when it comes to the management of my chronic bronchitis and mental health. I can’t thank him enough for pushing me to exercise to live bronchitis-free for over 9 years!

My family and I have been going to Realcare Medical Center for over 8 years. Dr Katie Zhou is impeccable with her diagnosis and treatment and genuinely cares for her patients. Thank you for caring for our community. Highly recommend

Awful. Dr Hans Liu accosted and verbally abused me and then refused medical treatment. Dr Liping Tian laughed at me multiple times. Absolutely deplorable behaviour by both doctors. Do not seek treatment here.

Dr Betty she is amazing doctor.
She's a real doctor who really takes care of the patient like a family and feels really protected. Please don't go anywhere else.

Do the receptionist here have a clue what they're doing or even know how to use a phone? I call up 3 times and get told to wait on hold and then all off a sudden hung up on and when I finally spoke to someone they acted like they didn't even understand English. Absolute hopeless incomplete customer service they should be retained or replaced.

The worst doctors surgery I have been too. I had to wait an hour just to receive some urgent results. The doctor didn’t even know the medication I was allergic to and proceeded to say are you sure that’s what it is. They put X-ray on my form when I was meant to get an ultrasound and they didn’t physically examine me. Horrible experience and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Not a very good experience with the receptionist. I asked to book a phone appointment as im home quarantining but she kept on insisting to come in without listening properly. I'm a diabetic, and I needed my scripts to be sent to the pharmacy as was out of my mediation, but she wouldn't understand. Im not sure how a phone appointment is unavailable but a physical appointment is.something is fishy here.after a long discussion she put me on a waiting list and the doctor eventually called me.

I made 2 appointments back to back for 2 children. After the first appt with the 1st child, 2nd child had to wait for 45 mins! In that 45 mins, Dr kathie Zhou was doing telehealth! During this time, I alerted the receptionist twice. After 45 mins, I alerted the receptionist the 3rd time. She was looking for my 2nd child's appt and by this time, Dr allowed another patient to jump the queue! I was so furious, I left and I'm taking business elsewhere. This is not the first time the receptionist are disorganised, unfriendly, oblivious and still haven't fix up their scheduling problems. It's never the same receptionist.high turnover perhaps. Last time my brother brought me here because we needed an urgent referral because his regular doctor was booked out weeks in advance. Dr Hans mentioned that he could not help because we were 'shopping around'. It was rude to expect or demand loyalty. We just want equitable treatment because we pay medicare through taxes! I suspect Hotdoc reveals confidential information otherwise how would he have known?

What's the point of making an appointment time? Whatever time they give you, be sure to turn up 30 minutes late. When you arrive, they still won't be ready to see you.

**Please Read This Before Going Here***
Please do not go to these ‘doctors’. I would hate anyone to go through what happened to me, especially an older or vulnerable person.

I was told that I was doctor shopping by a doctor there yesterday as I asked for endone as I have put my back out. I was not able to drive to my normal doctors and have just moved here and have been to these ‘doctors’ before. The ‘doctor’ told me I was doctor shopping and to get out and not come back. I had my little boy with me and he was getting upset as the doctor got angry with me and I was standing there in pain and crying. She wouldn’t look at seeing my medical records from my real doctor. She didn’t give me a referral for a scan or check my back or anything.
I just went to my real doctor and I have a bulging disk and proper medication, along with a correct check of my reflexes, an MRI scan and ensuring I won’t have sciatica again. My real doctor is a bulk bill GP as well. I am making an official complaint to the Health Ombudsman. No one should be treated so inhumanely and negligently. People deserve to be treated kindly when they are in agony or are unwell. Please be very wary even if you are desperate for an appointment - try another real GP first. The 2 ‘doctors’ I saw here 2 days in a row were Hans Lui and Katie Zhou. Cheers

Phoned the surgery and was told that even though the issue was a bad sore throat they didn't need a negative covid test. Showed up and was told by the Dr (Stephanie) that we shouldn't have come. She did not look down the throat; announced it was viral and then prescribed antibiotics for bacterial infection which she'd just said that it wasn't. Very dismissive attitude and it all took a couple of minutes. First appointment for my daughter visiting a Dr and she said she won't be in a hurry to go to a Dr again. Nothing good about that visit or the experience. Last thing a sick person wants is to be handled dismissively and told they've done the wrong thing. Good way to make a bad situation worse.

I am extremely disappointed with how lack of care the practice (from receptionists especially) is recently!

We went to see the doctor last week and were referred to do an ultra-sound. We specifically asked for the same practice we had ultrasound last time. However, we got the referral letter for Xray instead and it was referred to a different practice. I called back and asked the receptionist to check with Doctor as it was not what was discussed. Instead of checking with the doctor, the reception advised me it was same practice but different branch so it should be fine.

Today when we came back to see the doctor, we were advised the referral was done incorrectly and we had to do an ultra-sound again.

On top of it, when I called to book a phone consultation, I specified it had to be over the phone as I was at work (and I confirmed mobile number with the receptionist etc). The receptionist still put it down as walk-in face to face consultation. After waiting for 50 minutes (then spent 20 minutes to call in), I was told it was an error.

We have wasted so much time and are really shocked by how mistakes can happen so regularly in a medical practice when people are in charge of others health and wellbeing!

It is okay to make mistakes (we all do), however it is really disappointing the receptionist didn’t bother to check when I raised there was an issue with the referral letter. And they didn’t follow up when I booked for an urgent consultation and didn’t show up after 50 minutes – sure if you “realcare”, these would not have happened!

Dr Rivera is the most amazing Dr ever! I've been going to real care medical for the last 4 years and the practice has always been good. Remember this is a bulk billed Drs so expect to wait a bit but other than that I highly recommend

I've been seeing Dr Jose Rivera for years. He is a good doctor. At times I've had to see other doctors at this practice and they've never been as good as Rivera. He doesn't see new patients.

Been going to Realcare Medical Centre for years and have always had a positive experience. I have mainly seen Dr Hans Liu. His advice has always been spot on and has always been very helpful in any given situation. Traveled to Vietnam and he adviced me on what vaccinations and medications to take. While all my friends got continually sick I stayed in perfect health. I have seen him for various help with issues ranging from tooth pain too sleep problems due to workhours around study load. Clinic is bulk billed and ive rarely had excessive wait times. Would highly recommend Realcare Medical Centre.

ALL STAFF AT REAL CARE MEDICAL ARE VERY GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO VERY PROFESSIONAL. EVERY TIME I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT THERE DOESNT MATTER WHO I SEE ALL DOCTORS AT THE PRACTICE GIVE 100 PERCENT SATISFACTION.
