Queensland Tennis Centre reviews
52Great Place its really new and renovated and you can there however you want. I had the experience of seeing the centre court and it was really cool. I did a holiday squad there and it was fun and and we also got fee drinks. Recommend you to come visit and play here
Great facilities, good range at the pro shop on racquets, lighting is perfect at nighttime. Can recommend
The best tennis center in Queensland is closed on public holidays. Bad luck for the average player who wants somewhere to hit with friends or family on their days off. Pathetic.
Parking was a nightmare, could not even use my disabled parking permit as the disabled parking spots were off limits, and reserved for VIPs (local, state, federal government attendees) according to the traffic controller. At 6'4 tall, the seats were terrible. My fear of accidentally kneeing the person in front of me kept me constantly uncomfortable during the event. Doubtful I'll return to this arena. If you're shorter than me, and don't mind walking 10 minutes after parking in the surrounding neighbourhoods, or risking the tow away areas for residents only, this could be a better experience for you.
Best place to celebrity spot in Brisbane! I saw Jacob Francis Worrall having a coffee, he denied any pictures but was an absolute delight!
This is a great tennis venue. Lots of places to chill outside the courts, with a variety of activities for the kids to keep them entertained (during the Brisbane International). There was an Aperol bar inside the complex with bean bags set up to relax in and watch the big screen. Food choices are ordinary and expensive, like at any sporting event. Practice court allows close up view of the tennis stars. There are lots of female toilets and kept in clean condition, but still expect a bit of a queue in the break. The centre court is comfy enough for a sports stadium and offers good views of the matches. Remember the umpire's chair when booking your seats. For reference, I think my seats show the view from Bay 201 but in about the second last row back in that bay.
Quite boring after the excitement of the men's ATP country team event. Why not doing the same for the girls?
Also, both umpires did not enunciate the scores. People sitting next to us could not hear the calls either. Food/drinks were great!
Luv watchin the tennis here easy walk from the tranio and people are very friendly and helpful at the stadium even git to knick out and have a wine or to between games
Great tennis centre. It seems that whereever you sit, you would have a good view of the court and players.
Not bad. But xx$$-ey. 24 for a court for 1 hr. Water bubbler was sub-par (sorry only know the golf term for not great). Other than that great. Would go again. It's a reasonable price if you split 4 ways, less so for 2-3 people.
I recently attended my first tournament at QTC - Bris International - and was so disappointed with the appalling lack of facilities and organisation outside the arena. At 9: 30am, it was well above 30 degrees and very humid. There was ONE coffee shop outside with a wait of 25 minutes for a takeaway coffee. The only other outlet was in the sun. No seating and no shade. Why they don't open the arena earlier is beyond me as there are several coffee outlets etc inside the arena precinct which also has shade. When the arena opened at 10am, we had an hour to wait before the stadium doors were opened. Again, NO SEATING. Speaking with several 'regulars', they said complaints are lodged every year about the lack of shade, seating and food outlets outside the arena but nothing is done. I'm a huge tennis fan and splurged this year to attend. However, it will be my one and only visit until patron facilities are improved. Inside the stadium was great - excellent view of centre court from all seats but a word of advice - DON'T pay for expensive seats as there is no air con or fans. The cheaper seats at the top of the stadium do catch a breeze if there is one. Avoid like the plague seats at the northern end of the stadium as the afternoon sun beats down on hapless patrons. I'll be sticking to watching next year's tournament on TV. Such a disappointment.
It was great to see the woman playing and the venue did not disappoint with awesome entertainment and food around
Good venue with easy access to Yeerongpilly Train Station along a nice landscaped boulevard. Well staffed so quick to get in to the venue. Good seating providing a clear view of the court from even a last row seat. Nice breezes during the January evening matches we attended. The ATP was sensational with good players and atmosphere. The Brisbane International was quiet to dull in comparison to the ATP. Many food choices, overpriced but a lot of variety compared to the Gabba.
Absolutely Awesome day out, so organised and easy to get in and out. Great food and beverages. Happy Days.
I cannot believe that in 3 days I found just ONE drinking water fountain. How is possible a venue full of children, families does not provide water for their clients. On the other hand, prices of a bottle of water are expensive offensive. Cannot believe they are doing business with the water supply!
Not a bad sest in the house! Excellent facilities and well appointed; however, struggled to meet demand pesks. Shout Out to all and every volunteer, fantastic friendly assistance and knowledgeable advice!
Hard court n clay court. Alao social tennis on tuesday. Cheaper price to rent a court if you are member.
Such a great experience to watch Tennis Live at the Brisbane International. Great facilities with loads of historical information on Tennis in Australia. If you have not been to a live Tennis Match, do yourself a favour and give it a try!
Went to watched my little cousin play Red Ball at the outdoor courts. WHERE'S THE SHADE! You have children playing in 30+ degrees in the scorching heat with no shade. Heard of skin cancer guys?
The riverside play area is great, nice cool breeze and some information boards about the old power station for the boring grown ups!
