Used to be a really great gallery to visit with a lot of great art. Went yesterday and it seems most of the exhibits were tired and boring. Best exhibits were in the kids space and the student artwork from 2022.
Directions were difficult to find/read.

A wonderful destination for quality time with loved ones. Enjoy a charming cafe on the first floor, offering breathtaking river vistas. Experience both paid and free exhibitions, catering to various interests

Nice to visit. About average art gallery. Could fill up a lot more empty place with works of art!

I always relish my visits to QAGOMA, exhibitions of all sorts, and the beautiful spaces. Today was pleased to pick up my membership renewal packet and aboriginal-art-inspired membership card, courtesy of the thoughtful consideration by Gabrielle of Membership Services.

2/10 artworks are amazing.rest of the artworks are worse than what a 6 year old can do.the curating is the worst and the curators must be high on ice or meth when they select them.the least inspiring place for an artist.im surprised when the gallery pays for blank canvases.it puts really hard working artists to shame. I need my 22 dollars and 2 hours back in my life.the problem is that people don't speak up how bad the artworks are and that's why they are being exhibited.on one side there are amazing renissance and 19th century artworks that are crafted to perfection and then there are artworks done by lazy artists.

The free exhibition along with AIR exhibition was a great way to spend 2 hours slowly enjoying and appreciating. The Air exhibit, although short, doesn’t use cheap or pretentious art so you can walk away feeling like you’ve learnt something. Would recommend to anyone interested in a bit of history, reflection, modern art, revolution, sustainability and environmentalism.

After returning from a holiday that included a MONA visit, it was refreshing to revisit a gallery full of more familiar arts and artefacts. I recommend taking your time to wander through the free sections, but depending on what's ticketed, the level of interestingness is usually worth the fee. I shall return.

A wonderful building set in beautiful surroundings, light, airy and full of interesting art from artists globally, and top notch curation. The exhibition Air is worth a visit and the coffee in the cafe was great quality and I even had the company of a Water Dragon sitting next to me:)

Really nice experience although I didn't like everything. The aboriginal art was my favourite part!

Tolles Gebäude mit interessanten Ausstellungen. Am coolsten fand ich die Kids Gallery. Hier gibt es einige interaktive Gadgets die auch den Eltern Spaß machen. Nicht versäumen! Natürlich Eintritt frei!

It's entrance free and has different atmosphere and artwork from the Queensland Art Gallery!
Also, you can see portraits and various artworks from many years old and I was happy the whole time I was there!
So, If you are visiting the Queensland Museum or Queensland Art Gallery, I highly recommend a visit here too!
Because, it's very close by Queensland Museum and Queensland Art Gallery!

A wonderfully spacious and modern art gallery that, year-round, houses many diverse and interesting exhibits that are both paid and free. A must see for all in Brisbane, and a destination for those who are interested in more independent art with its in-house cinema.

Was asked to remove back pack and placed it on my arm like a hand bag, did so. It was hanging in front as my arm was bent resting on top of it. Understandable, why this is required. Then met Karen Attendent who basically tried to man handle me by blocking my path and not letting me continue unless i did it her way and insisted I reverse back pack and place bag in front hooked over both arms. Walked past many many other attendents with no trouble whatsoever. This made the experience nasty and I never want to come back. She was so angry aggressive.

The exhibit was wonderful. I went with a group of friends and had tickets for the last viewing of the day, which was shorter than all the rest but the charge was the same? And then security were incredibly rude, intrusive and pushy, about the gallery closing; when you go to see an exhibit called, "The Soul Trembles", you need a few moments at the end to process it. There were a number of videos in the exhibit that we didn't get to watch either, because we felt rushed for time.
The final session, if shorter than others, should have been cheaper, or the staff more lenient about closing time - clear the free exhibits first, then the paid - and don't give a group the stink eye because one of us is in the loo? What, should we have left without them? Hmmm. I can understand wanting to head home on a Sunday afternoon, but the way we were spoken to was unnecessary, abrupt and abrasive.
A shame, it was very jarring after the contemplative atmosphere of the exhibit and discoloured my entire impression of the experience. Just glad I took photos to look back at and ponder.

Always a surreal experience visiting QAGOMA, on par with Melbourne's NGV and Hobart's MoMA. Very well curated collections here.

Always a delight.
Special exhibitions have been fabulous and worth the entrance fee. General exhibitions have been interesting and well selected.
Each time we visit Brisbane, GOMA is on our checklist.
Enjoy.

Looked at the basket showcase in bottom of old gallery and then took kids to new.odern art gallary, they got to participate in the kids section by contributing drawings and place finish art on string wall. Had a great time

Visited from perth specifically to go to Chiharu Shiota’s exhibition ‘The soul trembles’ and if you haven’t yet visited, I recommend you do it asap!

Loved my experience at the museum, it has a beautiful architecture and it’s really clean!

The only reason I'm upset is because the exhibition catalogue not there and I had my heart set on getting one so if anyone can please tell me how to purchase a copy I would be grareful. I became a member so a message to the staff at store be helpful thanks.
