The owner of this place is beyond a joke. Was initially greeted by a nice young lady to sat down and made our order. Then it was completely ruined by this old guy. I believe he is either the manager or the owner, he walked to us with a blank face and told us that we have to leave the pram outside. Had no issue with that, we parked the pram outside of the shop.then our 1 year old boy was a little bit unsettled and made some noise. The old guy suddenly start to staring at us and point his finger towards outside with absolutely no communication at all. He Was extremely rude and disrespectful. People if you got children with you then please avoid this place. After reading some other reviews with similar experiences I can tell the owner doesn’t like kids.

Ordered a $15 smoothie, got given a 3/4 full takeaway coffee cup with a straw sticking out of it. Smoothie (the small amount that was there) was good, value for money was not.

5 year late review because I remembered the terrible portion sizes and bad attitude owner, based from other reviews it hasn't changed.

There was a fly in one of my friend’s coffee. The staff removed the fly and gave the same coffee back. It’s absolutely not kids friendly. No kids menu. Bad customer service

Loud and dated. Could have a much nicer outlook over the hills to the coast but I don’t think it’s that well designed. It’s one of the few places for a sit down lunch. The wine was terrible and it cost a lot. Not a good selection at all. The food was ok but expensive. Bit of a captive audience I think.

This place is gorgeous old style charm with beautiful views from inside as well as out on the balconies. Lovely food and drink choices. Cakes look amazing. Staff friendly. Would go back and recommend.

Such a beautiful Cafe. The view from the verandah is amazing. The service from the staff is always awesome. And the food and drinks are excellent. Went in for lunch today and had the gnocchi. It was so delicious and such a lovely experience.

A beautiful place where I have enjoyed breakfast and lunch. Staying scenery, lovely staff, delicious food reasonably priced. One of my favourite places!

This is a lovely place for a late breakfast on a Friday morning when the cafe was very quiet. Lovely old building with many historical features and we sat on the verandah with a great view. Very friendly service and a good quality coffee was soon on the table. We both ordered the breakfast bruschetta - sourdough topped with diced tomato, onion, cheese and bacon slices and two poached eggs with sides of avocado and hash browns. All delicious (bacon a little overcooked), fresh and tasty. Highly recommend while on a visit to beautiful Montville.

Lovely staff but outrageous price for coffee at $9.50 each. Have never paid that before. Wouldn’t return!

The place looks great, but some staff is not nice. We took out and turned a laptop to check some work, meanwhile we were about to order, then we were told that there is no laptop using policy here. But no sign written anywhere to notice before we enter to the place. Oh, strange. There were still many available tables, and we did not plan to sit for long. So, we decided we left to another small but friendly cafe instead. Disappointed.

What a delightful cafe to visit. The style of the cafe, the staff, the food all were amazing. The staff were attentive to every customer to the cafe. The food was delicious. My partner and I had the trio of dips and bread, and the grilled chicken baguette. The flavors of the dip shone out and burst in your mouth. The baguettes were sooooo fresh.
The style of the cafe was like a French cafe and the view out over the balcony was astonishing.
If you are making a trip to Montville. I would highly recommend this cafe.

This is a beautiful Spanish vibed restaurant with stunning views and delicious food. The service was excellent and the wine selection was fantastic.

Good cafe in terrific location. Views over the valley in old style house surrounded by huge trees. Service was friendly professional and the scrambled eggs with sausage was excellent. My friend had banana bread and coffee. Also ladies/Gents facilities. Recommend.

It was overly expensive. Who sells Bowls of Chips for $15? ! No one but this cafe!
Customer service was terrible. You were just told a flat out, "No" from front of house staff when they don't like your request. Plenty of unhappy customers, some who bought items from other cafes and restaurants instead as a family, just couldn't afford to pay nearly $30 for a basic Bangers and Mash meal for one. Favouritism for certain people over who sits on the deck area also. Overall, it was a horrible experience. Thank goodness I live in Brisbane and don't have to depend on this cafe as my local. There are plenty of other options in the Montville area that can provide a much better overall experience and affordability for a group of 6 adults.

The food was very yummy and we liked the view but we had to rush so we asked for take away containers which they provided.when it came to paying we were in line behind another person and the worker looked super flustered and kept jumping between us and the people in front of us and behind us for some reason.it took us a good extra 10 minutes to pay because the worker didn’t really know what she was doing and was trying to do the math in her head instead of with the calculator next to her.i wouldn’t be writing a bad review about any of this if it weren’t for the fact she accidentally charged us an extra 10 dollars at an already overpriced cafe.

People say it’s a tourist trap, but as a tourist I loved it. The atmosphere and view is perfect with Parisian art deco vibes. The food was nice enough and the staff very friendly. However I think we’re smarter than single use plastic butters per customer. Would love to see my toast already buttered in the future.

Shockingly overpriced. Pricing coffees at $7 coffees and soft drinks at $7.50 just as examples is contemptuous. Food is okay but again overpriced. Service is good.

In need of a desperate change in management. Manager made us feel uncomfortable the whole time. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Very odd. Arrived at 11: 30 and waited 5 mins before wait staff acknowledged me. Then said i could come in but couldnt order food. They stopped serving breakfast at 11: 30 and werent taking lunch orders til 12. Of course i went elsewhere.
