Shoe shopping is not a particularly sensory-friendly experience as an autistic person, and usually the only draw for me to come into platypus is the fact that i know i'll get assisted to make visits quick and easy.however, i wasn't so much as acknowledged today in the 10 minutes i was there.i work in retail myself so i know that these things happen but it did really rattle my confidence, and it's not like platypus is a store where you can really serve yourself given that the majority of sizes are all out the back.

I bought my shoes here but it doesn’t fit then i brought back to swap. Unfortunately there was no bigger size, so i left my shoes there i wanted to return and get the refund. When i tapped my card on the eftpos to get refund then the eftpos didn’t work, they asked me to change to another eftpos it still doesn’t work and they said it will come to my account but today I haven’t got the refund yet. It was monday 26/12/2022.3: 29pm

They didn’t have shoes in my size (most places don’t) but they gave me a list of places nearby which was a big help.

Helpfull staff most particularly Harry!
Was an absolute legend helping me out, especially when I stuffed my size up on the first visit. Went back the next day Harry was there to the rescue and changed sizes for me without hassle or judgement.
Work in the customer service so standards are high.
Prices are good but not much of a selection but that's understandable as it's a small store. Nothing like a new pair of shoes. Thanks people.

Yes, the shop was clean and organised but service is the one that takes all the stars today.
Ethan took the time to help me with the different sizes of the shoes I wanted to try, gave me tips and was able to do that while also helping another customer.

Disappointing visit! And I love Platypus normally. I purchased yet another pair of Docs… $300 for my birthday for myself. I told her and I thought well, I can buy these same boots anywhere for that price. She told me we’ll give you some discount next time, which was exactly what I was told last time, when I bought my brown docs. My message is don’t offer incentives if they are not real.

I bought an awesome pair of sneakers here that unfortunately I had to return (no fault of the store just buyer's remorse on my part) and the salesperson who served me both when I bought the shoes and returned them was so friendly and understanding! Thank you!

My daughter was happy to find her favourite white sneakers. Staffs were so nice and helpful.

Saturday night shoe shop open till 7pm how good in the city Brisbane. My shoes fell apart and needed a new pair. Replaced with quality and price. Manager was awesome and knowledgeable.

A very long time ago I was in this store and I had a bad experience with the staff. However the other day I thought to try again and I was amazed by the customer service of a girl named Marygold. She was excellent at helping me find shoe sizes and went above and beyond to help me. If this girl worked everyday I would always come into Platypus.

Brought 3 pairs of shoes on my visit to Brisbane, great service plenty to choose from cash sale or afterpay, great specials open till 9pm Friday nights open all days of the week great buy for platypus socks they sell lacoste, Nike vans addias many styles many varieties of types and colours to suit everybody. Love this place. Thanks for your help in finding right size and style

Very loud music. Lovely and helpful customer service but can be slightly pushy. Staff had strong knowledge of their products.
