The genuinely lovely salespeople told me to come back when the manager was working so she could help me with my doc sandals that ripped at the stitching after 5 months, but all she did was yell at me:// like I understand policy and procedure because I work in retail too, but it was extremely unprofessional, aggressive and unneeded. At least I now know her days off so I can avoid her lol

This guy named Aiden (idk how to spell it) but he is such a good employee and helped a lot and was fun to chat with too while paying for the shoes

The staff were helpful but the product range was not that great and the music; well, let's say it was 'ordinary'.

Tidy store. But the worst music. Too loud. I have perfect hearing and couldn't discuss my needs with the staff as they couldn't hear me vice versa

Staff are too keen to sell you a pair of shoes. They make you feel bad if you want to try on a few different type. Even if you say that they feel right they won't offer the size up they'll just shrug and say they'll stretch. Well guess what two weeks of almost constant ware and they haven't. Went in once and bought a pair and returned them, different staff different days and still the same attitude. Such a force of sales, even if you're dropping $200-$300 they want you in and out in 2 minutes.

Bought a pair of shoes here yesterday. I'm probably older than the normal target market. Enjoyed the friendly, yet relaxed customer service.

I ordered a pair of Vans online to replace my old ones and when I received them they didn't fit even though they were the same size as my old Vans. The laces were also too small, you couldn't tie them up and the laces weren't done up already. I was very frustrated and was then dreading going into the shop to exchange them as an online return process can be arduous.

I went in to the Carindale store and I was pleasantly surprised at the incredible customer service. The salesperson was very helpful and I tried on the next size up. She was very sympathetic with me even though I was frustrated after receiving the same size Vans that I had but didn't fit. I successfully exchanged the Vans and it was headache-free.

I would definitely recommend buying shoes from Platypus Shoes at Carindale. A+ service!

Just had the absolute best experience at platypus. Rachael was so attentive, helpful and really knew what she was doing. Not only did we get a great pair of shoes but a great chat too. Will definitely be coming back

Didn't get her name, but the sales person I had in store this afternoon to help me with my shoes was really lovely. They didn't have my size in a pair and she suggested another good option and helped me with my decision. Thanks again

Look, appreciate the sales assistances have a job to do, but they are soooo full on. I had two assistance gushing over me, and paying me all of the compliments, great for the ego, however, felt unnecessary and fake. I love platypuss, and do like to nip in when I'm at Carindale, but I do get a little anxious stepping through the door, as I know I'll get bombarded. Anyway, suppose the feedback would be for everyone to chill and not be all up in Customers faces ya know.

Fantastic service from Zoe at Carindale store. She was very helpful, informative and attentive. Had a great instore experience with her - walked away with two pairs of walking shoes, socks and very happy with her customer service. Thank you Zoe.

Was served by Claudio at your Carindale store when I came in to refund an online purchase. He attempted to push me into exchanging the boots instead even after I explained they were not the shoe for me. He proceeded to waste my time at the register instead of processing the refund by asking me personal questions and talking to his co-worker about clothing and work snacks while I was standing right there. I have spent money on numerous pairs of sneakers at Platypus previously but I will not be shopping here from now on if staff members are unable to handle refunds compassionately and respectfully.

Is this a shoe store? I thought it was like a nightclub or something. Just with a shoe theme. Must the music be so loud and so bad? Couldn't stay. Staff are uhm. A mixed bunch, they also give the impression of it being a nightclub for kids the way they dress along with the generally conceited vibe.

Unfortunately they didn't have the shoes I wanted in stock as they only carry so much. But overall the experience was good. Very helpful in their attitude.

Katie was so helpful on Sunday she helped me pick the perfect pair of work shoes and the cleaner and showed me how to clean my Nike's properly

I've been to this particular store several times and unfortunately the service is always atrocious. Whether the store is empty or not, you have to hunt down an assistant. If you have any questions about the merchandise, they either do not have the answer or give bad advice. I wish I was exaggerating. On the plus side, if you know what you are after or wanting a particular style, they do have a reasonable selection/ variety of shoes not commonly found in store.
