Extremely hard to find, not even sure if this business is still open or if it has closed down

THE place in Brisbane for rare vinyl and cassettes. Run by a Brisbane music historian that will probably have that song you heard, once, on 4zzz, in the eighties.but don't remember the name of!
He will probably know the song and be able to recite a discography of the band and all it's members!

By far the best record store in Qld and dare I say NSW. They have a wide variety of super rare records and even some very rare tapes. The owners are absolutely lovely and very knowledgeable. I love going in because you never know what you're going to find. Perfect for everyone even the obscure musically minded like myself.

Sold almost all my personal collection last year, at a market. Then came across a nice vintage music station (record player, tape player & tuner) set it up & have now started collecting again. So glad to come across Phase 4 Records & Cassettes found a double LP that I had not seen in any of my music store/garage sale/op shop adventures.thanks guys for a great conversation as well.cant wait till I get my next pay.

Picked up a copy of Slim Whitman's Indian Love Call - Where else would you possibly find such a thing? ! - Absolutely tip top staff whom were very supportive of my weird taste in music:)

A+ Will buy from again! Also the in-store gigs are quite the experience!

A Brisbane institution. Regular intimate live shows, rare vinyl, tapes and merch and knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff.

This is an excellent shop with a nice range of albums and 45's. I’ve found quite a few 7” collection fillers. Great friendly service, well worth a visit for any vinyl collector. Highly recommended.

Julie and Donat sure know their stuff, and have created a really amazing store in Brisbane. Good prices and a great variety of stock! It's always a treat to visit Phase 4. ️

Nearly walked past this place, but so glad we didn't. This place is a cool spot, perfect if you're looking for that special vinyl from back in the day. They also have some very cool retro clothing and other pieces. I picked up this jacket for a steal at only $20. Prices here are great in general. The man serving us was great and very friendly. Lovely experience!

Funky, groovy, retro shop with seating area, kitsch items for sale as well as the LPs, Cassettes and VHS tapes you would expect. There is also a small stage so we guess they host live music events. Made me appreciate the value of the LPs we have at home such as Prince' s Purple Rain now worth $45! Great way to spend half an hour being reminded of all the great music the world has and the LPs we once owned and can own again.
