Peter Augustus New Farm

I was greeted warmly by staff as I enter this meat heaven. Lovely meat shop with a wall of dry age meat. A wall of condiments to suit every palette. There’s a lot of variety to choose from.
I did not buy anything as I am on a plant base diet for 2-3 months but once it’s over, I would like to get my meat from here.
Great location in the heart of Newfarm. Lots of parking on street level or undercover Carpark.

Our first time into the New Farm store. We were overwhelmed by all the delicious choices. Shoutout to Jimmy who was an absolute legend. Every butcher needs a Jimmy. We will absolutely be back and recommend to all our friends and family.

Hands down some of the best steak I’ve had!
Tonight I ate the Angus rib eye mb2-3+ and it did not disappoint!
Great knowledgeable staff on cooking methods for those who need a helping hand!

Recommended by a friend we thought to try this butcher. Steak at $75 a kilo should melt in your mouth. It didn't! So much fat in the pan (around 20% of the cut supplied was fat!) that the steak was swimming in it before the steak was cooked. Not very tender either when you consider the price paid. Very disappointing. Never again.

Good Quality. Opening outside Coles was an adventure until Peter proved they actually utilised the foot steps from Coles.

The best 100% grass fed steak I've had. Staff were very helpful and patient with me deciding. On top of that the haloumi, spinach and chicken sausages were a hit with the kids and not salty like other butchers we have tried.

Wide selection of fresh and tastefully presented cuts.their bacon is delicious and their housemade chickem enchildas are INCREDIBLE!

The worst pet store in Brisbane. Very little variety in states of existence and pets do not look well cared for.

LOVE Peter Augustus butchers. Always get my meat here every Sunday morning, I am usually their first customer and they always open the doors a few minutes early for me. The quality is second to none but more importantly the service is what makes me keep wanting to go back.

If you want good quality meat and excellent service I would definitely go to Peter Augustus in New Farm. All the butchers are very friendly and if you ever are stuck for inspiration they always help. They are full of loads of knowledge on how to prepare and cook your meat all of the hard work is done for you. The butcher named Aaron has always been very helpful has always gone above and beyond to help me with picking meat and recipe ideas, that’s always impressed my partner. I will not buy meat from anywhere else!
