Pete is a talented tailor who specialises in menswear, but also does bridal/formal alterations.
We have used him for alterations to girls' formal dresses.
He's always very honest about what will and won't work to alter dresses, and offers very helpful suggestions about fit.
We try to give him plenty of notice, because he's very busy. However, if he has the capacity, he has offered us express service.

Took a custom made cycling jersey to Pete as the sizing wasn’t quite right. A totally different material to what most tailors would normally work on. He did magic on this jersey. Got it exactly how I wanted it and you couldn’t tell at all it’s been altered. Looks great.

Pete’s sewing workshop is a great way to learn and get hands on with a range of sewing activities. Pete is obviously experienced and clearly enjoys his work. His patient, approachable and enthusiastic teaching style is great for all levels of sewing - I was a beginner and in my first class I made a sausage dog! Pete took a workshop with a group of students visiting from Sydney. He was a wonderful teacher who taught them how to make joey pouches out of jumpers for our visit to a wildlife rescue facility near Toowoomba. His equipment was new and very easy to use and he was kind, patient and knowledgeable. The students loved the session and we would highly recommend Pete to anyone interested in sewing or learning to sew.
