Worst mower & whipper repair place ever. I took my Stihl whipper snipper initially to get repaired as it wouldn't start. Waited almost two weeks for call to let me know its repaired. I picked it up, got it home only to find it still wouldn't start. Took it back three times and every time leaving it to be repaired and every time I would take it home only again it wouldnt start. I took it back the fourth time and videoed one of the staff members having difficulty starting it. I asked for my money back as it wasnt fixed. I was refused. Sameday, I took it to Cairns mower Repairs and they fixed it in a few minutes and costing a total $22.00, only a loose plug. Went back to Performance mowers with the whipper snipper and job report showing - loose spark plug and starts and have no issues. As they didn't fix it I asked for my refund of $130.00 and again was refused. This was a horrible experience that caused me alot of stress and it cost me more money with driving back and forth and a total waste of my time. The new manager was extremely rude and useless. He totally ignored the job report from Cairns Mowers and still refused me my refund. I definitely wouldn't recommend and save yourself the hassle, grief and extra money and go elsewhere. Had chainsaw leaking oil there twice for repair. First time they couldn't find anything. Second time they said fixed and also did performance test. However, chainsaw was still leaking just when moved. When I tried to start it the chain was so tight that the motor was unable to move it.
How did they do a performance test?

Hi - I don't need to use often, but have purchased products when needed - follow up service fantastic - I have called in with small issues which are often sorted on the spot - could not recommend more highly

Incompetent (ordered and supplied wrong parts), dishonest (claimed they had provided advice when they hadn't) and unhelpful (refused to help resolve an issue that they had contributed to).

Although not a big customer, I won't be making any more purchases here, and unless you have no other option, I would recommend you do the same.

Brian took his mower in and left it there because it would start and then stop. They did everything well and it started when we took it home, except fix the smoke which did not happen with Brian when he first brought it in. Mechanic said it did not happen there so we must have tipped it which we did not and then told us to smoke it for 20 minutes half way we stopped and brought it back. It could have started a fire. Brought it back in still couldn't fix it. We also replaced the spark plug before we took it in 3 days before and he had to replace it again as per his invoice. Smoke was not fix and we took it home started it again and it 's still worse. Smoke is so bad polluting the neighbours when running today. Very poor service. Expensive visit with labour at $118 on top of everything which did not fix the problem and the smoke is worse. The best part is when we call to tell them the mower was smoking he said check the oil. Isn't that your job and it was in your receipt as the jobs you'd done. Was not helpful at all. Brian wished he had just bought a new mower. Not a pleasant way to go. Now he has to look at buying a new one.

Friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient staff. The Salesperson listened to what I required, which really assisted the decision making process, and a mere 10 minutes later a delightful young Mechanic, with a great sense of humour) helped me load a brand new mower into my vehicle. I'm a happy chappy.

Excellent and friendly service and advice on tools. The repair on my whippersnipper was done fast and runs like new.
