Food & Margs were bang on, service was awesome & the atmosphere is next level. We absolutely loved our experience at Pepe’s. We are having it 2 nights in a row. Thank you Pepe’s!

I was truly impressed with the services, ambiance, and food quality at this Mexican store. It's the best Mexican food in town in my opinion.

I’ve been twice for dinner in the past couple of months - have had a pleasant experience each time and the staff are all very attentive. We have been really impressed with the quality and quantity of food. Every dish that we’ve tried so far has been delicious and can confidently say it’s the best Mexican we’ve had in Brisbane! Already looking forward to our next visit.

Pepe's is delicious! We went on a Friday for lunch and it was quite, which was nice because it's normally super busy for dinner. Chimichanga was incredible as was the passionfruit margarita! Super quick with the food and the service was lovely. We will definitely be back.

Great food, good selection of Mexican food, fresh and full of flavour, staff are quick and friendly Great bar staff, downside it is very busy lots of people coming and going quick table turnover, you will need to book well ahead if you want to have a table longer than 2 hours because this place is so popular

It was ok. Atmosphere good. Service was poor. Food pretty average. Good for big Tex mex food, but lacking any real fresh flavours.

Review: After hearing only good things about Pepe’s, I was desperate to try. Went there Friday night for dinner and it was packed, so I recommend booking in advance. Authentic Mexican food with a very relaxed but noisy atmosphere. The waitress recommended trying the Modelo beer which was a refreshing start to the meal. Guacamole was made fresh at our table with a very decent serving of avo and corn chips. The guac was well seasoned and very creamy but wish they had house made chips instead of generic bought ones. Fish tacos were my favourite with a crispy but tender barramundi, complimented by the fresh toppings. You could tell the sizzling fajitas are a house favourite as I saw so many going past us throughout the night. We opted for the beef which came out sizzling alongside all the ingredients to make your own tacos. Meat was tender and there was a good amount of flavour and ingredients to make 4 loaded tacos. I thought the value for money was very good and we left full and happy. They also have a great looking dessert menu if you are looking to finish on something sweet. I will be back to try their margs.

We normally go there every couple of weeks to have some nice Mexican in particular, I love their chimichanga and freshly made guacamole.
The portion are always consistent and satisfying.
Finally, the flan and pudding are excellent desserts.

I consider it to be a place with a very wide menu and very good flavors, which I have been to on several occasions, but I consider that it is not right to charge for a container to have take away food and less for a price of $3 AUD, when it has already been paid a value for food

Food was good and we had a few Margaritas which were well received!
My Seafood Burrito was yummy but only 1 scallop, the rest was prawns which were very fresh.

First visit to this place and it was great. Good options for Vegetarian Mexican food. Definitely worth a next visit to try some more.

Without a doubt the best Mexican I have ever eaten. Don’t waste your time going to chain Mexican restaurants when you can get the most authentic Mexican food on the market with incredible service each time. I cannot fault Pepes and have lost count of the times I have dined here. Highly recommend and a Brisbane must do for travellers.

Portions are satisfactory however, taste is pretty bland. Burrito had literally neither spice nor any taste, it was like eating a boiled meat in a wrap.

Overly hyped talk about this place.combo dips were nice. Ordered a seafood fajita.was ok mainly made up of prawns.was hoping for seafood. Not very exciting. Four of us ordered different things just to find they were all pretty much the same flavours but made in different ways.sooo meh it was ok.

Hi!

We have been coming to your restaurant every few weeks for a year now since we moved here from Sydney. We loved coming in and enjoyed the vibe.

Every experience has been great and I couldn't complain about anything but we came last Sunday for lunch and the place is almost empty but we got seated at a table right in the middle of everyone. We got asked before we even sat down if we would like some water or sparkling water. We have never been asked about sparkling water so we just assumed it was free. We didn't even touch it, only to find we were charged $7.50 for it when we went to pay. It should be known if you are going to have to pay for something.

That was not the problem though. When we did our drink order we asked for a sangria and a strawberry slushy margarita. The waitress came back with the drinks, the two we asked for plus a lychee cocktail we explained to her we never asked for a lychee cocktail. This was the woman who took our drink orders only a minute before. She seemed slightly annoyed at us, like we made a problem. So we ask for our second drink being the same order and she brings us another lychee cocktail and yet again we explain we did not order it but this time she gave us attitude as if we were wrong and mucking her about.

I was a manager of a montizumers down the coast for a while and we love Mexican food but due to how this woman made us feel we have decided to not come back again and find some place else to grab our Mexican.

Sorry and have a great day:)

I have been to Pepes several times now and have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly, speedy and helpful. The meals are large and tasty. And the setting is surprisingly authentic.

My order was brought out incorrectly and I had to wait a very long time for my food so the staff kindly didn’t charge me for mine and mine partners entire meals. Thank you for being so understanding

Great food and atmosphere. A little on the pricey side but not good bad given the location. Will be back.

Big portions, great food, friendly service. Can get pretty loud during peak times. Mexican street corn for entrée is a must!

Three of us came for lunch today. One is Mexican and all three like to eat. The portion sizes are huge however everything is smothered in salsa which would be great if it was actually salsa - it seems it is just tomato paste. Horrendous.

We asked a question about the menu and the waitress responded 'I don't know. I'm not mexican'.

Three stars is for the cold beverages. The Mexican in our group said 'the only authentic things about this place is the table number tiles and the dirt carpark out the back'

Sorry, we won't be back.
