Plenty to do, I can't think of a better place to go with kids under 13. Absolutely loved it

An amazing place to stay with children. Our 3 little boys were busy all day every day. The rooms were tired but the facilities and service were exceptional, in fact the best I've had anywhere.

Wonderful place for kids. Bunkhouse room needs updating but I think they are in the process. Plenty of activities to book. Walking distance to Surfers Paradise, close to theme parks. Will go again!

This was our 2nd trip to Paradise resort,
First visit was awesome, this Trip was very average,
Positives, Great for the kids, great water park, staff were very friendly and helpful and accomodating,
Ice rink on level 2 is a great feature
Location is pretty close to the beach.
Con’s
We booked online via trivago 2nd trip
Drove 14 hrs south from north QLD and denied parking reasoning that it could be because we didn’t book direct,
We were prepared to pay extra for parking as we did on an our first visit we had to pay extra per day for parking. I see the value in paying for parking.
The phone calls and text before check in said nothing about being denied parking for occupancy or booking via a third party website.
It’s awesome walking 5 blocks away just to grab something from the car that you may need ….
This is not a big deal breaker, the biggest thing wrong with this soo called resort, is went to order drinks for the kids, we had
Taken enough cash down with our swim gear when going for a swim in the pool, after ordering drinks we are informed This was our 2nd trip to Paradise resort,
First visit was awesome, this we don’t except cash!
The girl serving is not to blame.
It’s the owners of this soo called resort that does not except Australian dollar notes or coins
And it’s the Australian government that permits this as legal NOT to accept Australian physical currency.
For this, I think 2 star rating is very modest,

The hotel is certainly 3 ️ rated from what we experienced and certainly not a resort. Unless you are in the new wing, the other quarters are quite old and run down.
However, if you are looking for a place to entertain kids, and not worry about location or room service / conditions- then this place is amazing. So much for kids to do here and that element where
Parents can relax while kids are having a play is amazing.

Amazing place! So much fun for kids of all ages and in the perfect location. I was initially worried about bad reviews but nothing to worry about at all, everything was perfect. We will definitely be back.

They have activities for kids but other than that they need to work on cleaning and maintenance more! The rooms specially bathrooms are filthy dirty! The hairdryer are if 80s probably burnt and the mess burnt came out can cause I hurt! Dirty old microwave barely heats up food! Come on paradise! Live up to your name!

I got a surprise package for my girlfriend that involved balloons on the roof the balloons deflated and I rang reception to ask if the cleaning ladies can take away the balloons - the reception guy was very rude an unhelpful. We got told the cleaning people will come at around 2pm after they have “cleaned” the room all the balloons were still there after even putting them in the bin for them. The bin wasn’t emptied and also the beds were terribly made. We then spoke to a supervisor Elius and showed her a photo and she said she would arrange for someone to come and take the rubbish and balloons away - this never happened. Overall this was disappointing

A great place for kids, needs a few adult bars/areas, a smoking area thats not on the main street would be my only suggestion. The activities were awesome for kids the staff were lovely. We all left completely exhausted but would take kids back for sure. Jake one of the staff in charge of activities needs a special mention for having such a great work attitude and friendly commitment to his job. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful time.

Fantastic for kids, a great place but needs a bit more adult areas. The activities were awesome but we left exhausted.

Great water park. Rooms are very outdated, small and dark. Service was great. I don't recommend buying the activity bundles if you stay midweek you don't really get your value for money as activities don't run everyday.

Had a really great weekend here with the kids. The waterparks are fun for both kids and adults. Love the all day activities and trivia! Food was also good. The only spoiler was unfortunately the noisy lift in the captains quarters wing, was hard to ignore. Other than that was a great weekend would definitely go again.

This resort is well equipped with Kids Club and swimming pools, but it's also expensive when you add in the extras. Everything is targeted at kids (eg.pick and mix lollies in shop next to the pool is right in the window - $8 for a small cup of lollies!) and these small extra costs can add up.
We didn't use the Kids Club so can't comment on that, but know that it wasn't cheap!
We stayed in the newly renovated Dusty's rooms and these were very comfortable and I had no concerns. Only one piece of constructive feedback there was more towel rails in the bathroom would be useful.
The food and drinks isn't cheap - eg. $9 for a fairly basic cheeseburger from the burger bar.
We didn't eat at Penguins, but on the long weekend at the end of October it seemed they were overbooked with people eating their breakfast out on the patio area.
Also, be prepared to venture out of the resort if you want meals other than burgers/pizza.
We had takeaway one night from Chiangmai Thai (short walk away) and this was delicious.
The staff were hit and and miss on their service and friendliness. The admin staff in particular weren't great, but some of the staff in the cafe were lovely.
One key note - there are no lifeguards on duty at the pools! This is clearly signposted, but just want to call it out. Parents will need to be vigilant in watching their children at all times, particularly when it's a peak/busy period.
It is claimed that staff are trained in first aid, but I witnessed a staff member offering a child water after he was pulled out of the water (while waiting on ambulance) so perhaps it's just best to have your eyes on the children at all times.

Car parking is $20 a night and needs to be booked in advance. Something else to factor into the budget.

Overall, we wouldn't stay again. It was incredibly busy on a long-weekend and while our son enjoyed himself, it wasn't too enjoyable for us with all those people! Hard to find chairs to sit on and food/drink took a long time (25min wait for coffees in the morning).
Our son (4yo) loved swimming in the pool, but all hotels have pools. Next time we're thinking a different resort might be a little quieter and more suited to time for our quality family time without hundreds of other children and families.

Very disappointing service.
Car park entrance didn't recognise my key and no one answered the help line button at the gate. Had to back up with 3 cars behind me.

When inquired i was told i must have booked the car park in advance. I am 99% sure i was not informed about this when booking. Apparently there is a small popup notification saying this according to them.

The reception was not friendly at all and will not return to this place

The kids and us had a wonderful time here to celebrate our daughters’ birthday. Captain Amelia looked after us so well. Definitely will recommend to our friends.

We booked for 7 nights and lasted one. Pool area so busy with no lifeguards. We witnessed a little boy being pulled out of the pool luckily someone passing by seen him face down. Our shower head fell off mid shower and room was not nice. To be fair to Hotel they gave us a refund and staff were very nice and friendly.

Great for a relaxing weekend with the kids. Heaps to do. However make sure you read the timetable provided not all experience are on each day or all day.
