I went on the twilight river boat cruise first and enjoyed it immensely!
A nice cruise up the Thompson river and a lovely sunset as we turned back.
The bush camp-oven meal of stew and damper plus bush poets capped off an 'old Aussie way of life' experience.

We have just spent the last 4 days in Longreach, we are so happy to have done 3 of the Experiences with outback pioneers, the sunset boat cruise, stage coach & finishing up with a trip to Nogo Station with Jeremy Kinnon as our host. All have been brilliant! Favourite for me was Nogo Station with Jeremy showing us what it’s like to run a sheep station, and take us through the Shearer’s shed, very informative and just a great morning out. Thanks Jeremy and the whole team, you have made our longreach trip a trip to remember. And don’t forget to go to Mums shop for some hats or new socks

We had an absolutely amazing time on the sunset cruise tonight. We all thoroughly enjoyed the cruise, the entertainment, the service and especially the delicious food!
Definitely recommend!

What a great time travelling up the Thompson river on a paddle boat and the meal just lovely.

Loved the cob and co stagecoach experience. I took my 3 and 6 year old and both loved the horses. My 3 year old couldn't really understand the tent show but my 6 year old enjoyed it, including the Billy can lunch (he was super excited as it was similar but quirky /different from his school lunches). The movie was great, appropriate for all ages. My husband and I enjoyed it as much as the kids.

My husband and I stayed at the Stables accommodation and were immediately transported back in time! We loved all the attention to detail and the shower was amazing. We loved the NoGo Station excursion, learning so much about the history and vegetation of the area. The sheep shearing demonstration and the history of the shearers was so interesting, as was the authentic packed lunch with billy tea around the camp fire. The sunset cruise was a gem, once again featuring an authentic evening around the campfire, with bush poetry and an exceptionally filling meal! Finishing our Outback Pioneers adventure with the Cobb and Co coach ride scones and tea, the movie and the Old Fashioned Tent Show with billy can lunch was the cream on the cake. The Kinnon family are a warm, hands on family who must be congratulated for giving people a living experience of the way things were with so much information, great food and fantastic accomodation. Thank you! We loved every minute.

We absolutely loved this experience, a taste of the way people used to travel. Scones, jam & cream, movie & Tent show, all added to the experience.

Tea and scones, coach ride, 1956 vintage Australian film, poetry and tent show. Kept me occupied for half a day

From collection at your accommodation everything is top class. A fantastic hour on the Thompson River, finishing at sunset bend where nature shows her finest.
Then a marvellous dinner and show where patrons of all ages enjoyed good food and fabulous entertainment and left on a high.

Absolutely awesome tours! We did the sunset river crisis a couple of nights ago and it was a wonderful Aussie experience. Lovely, relaxing trip up the Thomson River, followed by great entertainment and a delicious dinner. I especially appreciated that at the end of the night they spoke about the other tourist attractions you can do around Longreach. Today we've done the Nogo Experience and to me this is one of the best tours I've ever done. For a city slicker to be able to stand right next to a shearer shearing a sheep was thrilling! The Kinnon brothers, who run the tour, are some of the funniest guys you'll ever meet with the Aussiest accent you'll ever hear. After a trip around a section of farm, seeing a variety of animals and wildlife, we sat around a campfire and had a delicious lunch and billy tea. I can see why Outback Pioneers have won tourism awards. I've got memories from Longreach I'll cherish for ever

We enjoyed 3 nights at The Stables accommodation during our first visit to Longreach. Absolutely fantastic, themed self catering rooms reminiscent of the outback and tastefully decorated to reflect pioneer life. Checking in and out very easy. A special shout out to Richard who kindly drove us to the airport to pick up our hire car. Lovely country hospitality! Highly recommended.

Ziggy & I had the best time ever. We saw so much history & outback life styles. We went on all the various tours and there wasn't a minute that we did not enjoy. We stayed at The Stables which again was unique & well designed. Thank you Richard & your family for such an enjoyable time filled with fun, history & information. Kind regards, Irene

A fantastic family company to deal with. Enjoyed the paddle wheeler cruise, dinner and sound & light show on the Thompson. Stayed overnight in the Coach House and took the morning stage coach ride and billy can lunch with Harry Redford show. Thanks to Nikki at front of house. Very helpful.

The outback pioneers team is amazing. I went to reschedul one of my activities at the last minute and they made effort to make it happened. Throughtout the activites, I felt like I was taken care of. They always make sure you know where to go and what activities are next so you woundn't get lost cause there were some half hour gaps in between. I'll definitely book with them again next time I visit Longreach.

The morning started with lovely scones & tea & Coffee. Next was the horse ride, that was very good
After that we did the old movie, which was just ok & and a bit long.
The tent show? Shocking, have heard how good this was from friends that did it last year. I think it's changed, not ver funny & need to get a comedian in, to train these fellows up.would if walked out, but didn't want to be rude, like 4people that did walk out.

The tours are fantastic! They are delivered with passion and well thought-out. I have done the Cobb & Co Coach tour twice and the Starlight boat trip once. I absolutely loved both. The scones for the Cobb & Co Coach are perfectly fluffy and the camp oven dinner on the boat trip is delicious.

Not only are the tours great but the customer service is second to none. I had a minor car accident on my way to the Cobb & Co Coach tour. When I was late, the company phoned to check whether I was still coming. When I told them about the accident, they allowed me to move my booking to a convenient time. That shows they walk the country talk.

Must do part of any trip to Longreach is the Cobb & Co stage coach, Nogo Station tour and Sunset Paddleboat river tour. Everything is thought of and Outback Pioneer’s service is excellent. With two teenage girls, it was 50/50 if they would get into this type of trip. They have loved every minute of it.

We stayed at their The Stables accommodation which was fabulous and right in town.

Great story tellers. We did a couple of tours here. First was the river paddle wheeler which included snacks on board while cruising the Thompson River after we had a show around a campfire bush poetry followed by camp oven dinner. Then a movie under the stars followed by damper and tea.
The other tour was a cob n co stage coach ride followed by an old time movie and a tent show.
Really something for everybody.

A wonderful store with quality leather goods and souvenirs. We ran out of time on this trip and weren't able to do one of the tour activities, will be back again. Even if you aren't shopping it's worth a look a the range of items and learning a little about the pioneers.
