Orion Lagoon

Great place for the family and to enjoy the cool water when the sun is out. Only thing is you can't use water toys.

This is such a fun swimming pool! Been here twice now. On a long weekend, we arrived by 930am and managed to get a park next to the toilets which was awesome become it gets busy quickly, the overflow parking is in the shopping area section next to the big playground/Timezone. Pack yourselves a shade option / picnic blankets, and set yourself up the whole day. Toilets, outdoor shower, change rooms, cafe onsite, BBQ area, lifeguards. It is well equipped! And fun for the whole family from littlies to big kids! Only 30min from Bris too so reasonably close, an alternative to South Bank pool.

Fun Police on site. Kids can’t have any fun while clearly supervised by their parents.
While your “life guards” don’t pick up rubbish on water edging and asking parents of babies to put a swimming nappy on which is clearly unhygienic.
Priorities?

Whilst really busy, Orion lagoon has everything you need for a nice day out with friends or family. The pool was really refreshing and clean, shops are just across the road, had a nice time hanging with friends here!

I love it here! Similar vibes to Southbank streets beach but bigger and no fake sand. There are plenty of shady places to sit on the grass and shopping centre just opposite. It wasn’t too hard to find parking as people are always coming and going but definitely busy on a hot day. So amazing that Brisbane has public pools like this!

Best times for me to come here is during the week when it’s not school holidays. It’s peaceful for me here and everything is handy and close by. In the event if you forget a towel you can go to the Orion to get one. It’s free to come here and it’s a great summer activity. Very accessible by train too.

This place is a great place to bring the kids and have a fun day out. The only downside to this place is the lack of shaded areas. If they had more areas that were shaded then this would get 5 stars. Otherwise it's a must visit.

I love this place! The lagoon is always the right temperature and the shopping centre has everything you could want!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE! This place and i likey the unique brown stain floaties in da pool. I very much enjoyable time wathcing hot old men swimming in lagoon. Choked on water made me sad.stringy hair in me undies

Nice place for locals to have a fay put with family. Area is kept clean and is well maintained.

Discovered this little gem of a water park. Free to all, clean water, well patrolled, nice cafe, and just opposite the shops and a big play area.

Fantastic place to take the family for a safe fun filled day of water play. Lots of spaces for large groups to set up. Water area is well attended by life guards for total peace of mind

A great place for swimming. Absolutely loved this place especially for my little one. A lot of little pools for toddlers to enjoy. Plenty of change rooms and showers to wash up. More than enough life guards. Ample spots to sit down and have picnic as well.

Always way too busy, but the staff watch everyone carefully and it's a happy place for everyone who visits. I wish there was more dedicated parking and the parking over the university side wasn't $3.

Such a fun place to take your kids especially in summer, the pool area is so so good and the new play area for kids is a good activity. The mall itself is beautiful. It has a park just next to it. It is a good one too

Nice place and has different activities for everyone in the family. I enjoy the shopping next door, I don't have to prepare food before, children enjoy the play grounds and swimming.

Amazing swimming place for all ages. Walk across to the shopping centre for more.food or.groceries to have at the lagoon. Otherwise, Stephanie's cafe is at the lagoon.

Cafe needs to be more specific. Close at 6pm but don't cook after 4.30pm is a little bit of a stretch! Just say you close at 4.30pm
