We've been so many times and will go back many times more! My kids love fossicking and treasure them when we get home for days. And I love the amazing pieces for sale.

I bought a ring there in February, as a souvenir from Australia. I was on a tight budget and still managed to afford a 'real' opal. I'm delighted

It was a great experience dealing with Opals down under. I purchased online but had to contact them regarding out of stock items. Their response was quick and efficient and I got my extra items for no additional shipping cost. Very pleased with the jewellery and their service.

The staff at Opals Down Under are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I had an opal ring polished and another resized and polished. Both rings looked amazing after the work done on them. The rings were ready in the time promised, and I was notified immediately after the work was done, and again as soon as the rings were posted. They arrived in two days by express post safe and sound. We went on school holidays recently after not going for a couple years and have noticed a significant decline in the quality of rocks in the dig pit. However this could have been due to it being busier and it wasnt so much to be disappointed. Would still recommend it for a fun activity

The items are exactly as described and seen on the website, excellent. They were packaged very beautifully and were well protected. The tracking of the parcel was excellent. In my case the package was delayed for quite a while in Spanish customs and charged with the (high) importation rate, but that is a Spanish customs issue and not the seller's fault. The seller and Australian Post kept providing constant feedback throughout.
I would definitely recommend Opals Downplay Under.

The scratch patch is such a fun activity for people of all ages. From as little as $10-$18 you can fill up a container with all the beautiful stones you find while digging. I've even found a few small pieces of real opal hidden amongst the other stones! (They are quite difficult to find though). It really is addictive and fun, and you can easily spend hours digging! The shop also has a lot of beautiful opal pieces as well as other precious stones for sale too. Definitely recommend checking out atleast once!

Had my Opal ring repaired through Opals Down Under, fantastic service and a great local company. The kids also had such a fun time digging for gems, we will certainly be back for more!

Service was very good. We visited Opals Down Under in 2016 when we were visiting the Sunshine Coast and wanted to buy a gift for our oldest granddaughter and were impressed with the service. When we wanted to buy a gift for our youngest granddaughter we decided to shop there on line. The service was, again, excellent and we received our parcel in less than a week in Auckland.

Great place to take the kids. Fun place to find some beautiful rocks. The staff are great there. You can have kids party's there. Lots of great gifts ideas highly recommend. If you open your mind there are lots you can do with the rocks you find. You can also get drinks there great range.

Some beautiful opals here mixed in with some crystals.kids can get a bucket $$ and go searching for treasured rocks in an outside area.

The fossicking here is so much fun for both children and adults, have been 4 times over the past 2 months & will be back again

Great place for the kids. We came home with lots of coloured stones. No barbecue but you can take a little one with you. Nice friendly staff. Will go again

The kids had so much fun gem fossicking, $10 to fill a small container. Definitely worth the visit! They can spend over an hour fossicking through the huge piles of gemstones, even the adults had fun! At the end they get a chart to learn about the names of gemstones. There's also a lovely grassy area to have a picnic.
