North Lakes Sports Club reviews
75 Attended this venue for a birthday lunch. We were a booking of 30, which I know has logistical challenges. Initially the service seemed adequate, orders taken against patron's names for what we assumed would be ease of delivery and payment.
However, issues started to arise once I tried to become a member. Apparently there has been a transition to a new system, and currently they cannot process memberships until December. I thought this would not be too much of an issue, as surely a venue wouldn't punish it's patrons for this problem with the system?
Both times I went to the bar I had to argue the point that I shouldn't pay for one of their supplier's mistakes. Our meals arrived in a timely manner (though it was by no means packed to the rafters) and while I would say the Pork Belly was fairly priced, I cannot say the same for the Chicken Parmigiana. Not only does it cost the same as the pork belly, but once you're done with the Aldi grade crumbed breast (nothing against Aldi value) you're left to tackle not one but TWO pieces of brocollini, and a burnt gratin that could be mistaken for a 50c piece if you aren't paying attention.
To be honest the kids meal we got for my son was the best value, once we wrangled through the arduous process of redeeming the drink and dessert.
Unfortunately the well thought out system of names-to-meals was abandoned, with staff just randomly walking around the table calling out the name of the meal like 'calamari' is a unique identifier.
The only stars here are for the children's play area, which was well equipped and well supervised.
The bitter after-taste to the whole affair was the fact that due to the issue with the membership system, we had to pay non-member prices, which has encouraged me to remain a non-member for life.
It's a well-equipped sports club with top-notch facilities. The quality of service is outstanding, and I've been a satisfied member for a while now.
Food is average, pricey. The place is nice but not a lot happens. Don't stay late because they get drunk problem people.
That night the service and food was good. Great entertainment and some dancing. Great night had by all.
Food was tasteless chips were bland appeared to be Airfryd
some were cold it's a pity as the food used to be excellent
Limited menu staff were pleasant although disorganised
Its not bad but every time we go we seem to get the same waiter who doesn't seem to have a 'feeling' or 'timing' for customer service. I like being asked how my meal was but not 4 times and not while my mouth is full. I like the flavour of the porkbelly salad and I know this meat is fatty but it was almost 100% fat, so not very nice and also not crispy. The ladies in the play area do a fantastic job and one of the reasons we come back. My little one loves the play area.
Such a great place. Always a delicious food and friendly staff team. Children love the playground. Parents too.
I loved this club. The layout is open and airy. The service is fantastic and the lunch fare was classy. Sunday afternoon entertainment was a bonus! Give it a go!
Great meet up with friends who travelled as far as Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Springfield Lakes. Excellent Service and Food.
Not up to usual standards. My steak, med/rare, was half med and half cooked dry.
My friend complained about his steak.
Place is great for families. The kids club is amazing.
Food in the main restaurant is overpriced and very average.
Cheapest steak is around $32 and a parmi will set you back $26. Pretty pricey for a pub feed.
The staff are friendly and helpful, the look of the club on the inside is the best I have seen any where.
A very good menu with a nice variety of different foods available.
The staff are very good and helpful, and the food and drinks came out very quickly after I had ordered them. All in all a nice place for a meal.
North Lakes Sports Club continues to provide great food, cold cold beer and entertainment. I love the Banyan Restaurant.
Nice place with great friendly staff. Food was expensive for what you got. A piece of barramundi, half a roasted potato and some greens for nearly $30 is not a meal, especially when you are left hungry after that. Could not change the meal to chips and salad like most places will. Will not rush back
1st visit to watch the Fury v Wilder fight. Booked a table for Sunday lunch. Typical pub/club fare, enjoyed enough to return again and sign up for membership. Whilst not a deal breaker is there ANYWHERE in town that can actually cook a steak correctly? Seems medium is par for the course for an entire city Service was polite and friendly, even when under the pump
Excellent venue. Meals were reasonable and good quality. Staff are wonderful which makes for a pleasant night. Good kids room. Very enjoyable.
Great place to have a couple of beers and a bet, never eaten here though, but the food looks good.
Spacious and modern design. Good range of tap beers and bar food, very good chips. However, the restaurant food is so bad. I thought they improved under the new name and brand over the years, but still as horrible as it was. Most of the fine dining alike dish like chicken and pork are just precooked food and reheated, and put some sweet sauce on those…
Still a great place if you just want some chips and beers. Avoid their restaurant food!
Immaculate facilities and really great Aussie service, classy pub with friendly service. Will definitely visit again
