Norman Park Central News reviews
6Nice little news agency. Got my daughters school supplies. The girl at the front counter was extremely helpful. Thank you.
Such rude service! Came in to buy some scratchies, a girl with brown hair was behind the counter on the phone. I understand she might have been with a customer so I waited. She didn’t look up at us and after 5 mins of waiting left. Only came as our regular news again Coorparoo burnt down! Disgusting and won’t be back
Parcel point for incompetent fastway. The sooner fastway go broke the better.
Great place to put on your lotto, get your magazines papers and general stationary, friendly helpful staff Easy off street parking.
Excellent friendly and efficient service from the team. Always helpful and willing to assist. Easy parking.
Went today about 1730. Waited patiently as 4 other customers there. Customer walked in and was immediately served by the son of the owner. I quietly said to customer I had been waiting and customer apologised, didn't see me - honest mistake, I said "that's ok". Employee came to other side of counter next to me to check other customer's lotto. I very quietly said to employee, he needs to serve 'first come' and suddenly I was BERATED by the 'dude' with the pony tail "NOT TO BE RUDE" to other employee, who by the way did not acknowledge I was actually advising him on, pardon me, good customer service. Suddenly, I had the 'dude' speaking extremely loud at me that I was rude to the employee. I explained, I wasn't rude and that he, himself, was rude to me and should apologise to me - of course he wouldn't so I asked who the owner was? His replied loudly the owner's name was John and the person I spoke to was the owner's son! He then told me if I didn't tell him what I wanted to buy, I was to get OUT and he wouldn't serve me anyway! Since my intention was to buy a Powerball, I didn't want to waste my money on his bad karma! Obviously, the shop was busy and "dude' couldn't handle the stress working with junior staff and actually said moments before that the junior could leave and he will stay open because it was busy. I would expect the 'Dude' to show the junior how to conduct 'good customer service' and be a Mentor rather than display his personal stress in such a negative, aggressive manner and that's perfectly ok - NOT. Very poor example to a young employee on how to be respectful to customers!
