Me and two kids arrival around 12: 00 Sunday, staff tell us that the fame has been fully pick, so ask us go the the other place just 50m away which is "part of their farm" as well.
When we parked and ask for the box, the lady said just $10.00 per box, which 3 times cheaper than N&J's Facebook AD. I ask her which block we can pick, she said all 4 block are welcome to pick and eat. Kids happy because they can saving money, I feel little be warry about the quality for the low price.
We went to the block at the far left (Block 4 I think), the strawberries are great, big and red, I feel I might get mistake and sorry for my idea.
After 10mins' happy hour, we got around half box of the strawberries from this block, and kids only eat 3, because I said not to do so.
Now is the problem come out. One of the old lady staff running to us and stop kids to pick the strawberries, side this block are not good quality yet, ask us leave and pick from other block.everybody on this block has been ask to leave as well.
When we go to the block she ask us to pick, there are all been pick up by many many times, the strawberries we can get are all small one, which not bigger than 10c coins.yes, not bigger than 10c coins! After 20mins' search, kids and me gave up, I bring the strawberries to show this lady, ask for how we can eat this small berries, she just keep small and tell us do not pick any berries from block 4. No explain any reason even the berries we pick from block 4 are big and fully red.
Kids feel unhappy because we spend 1 hour drive all the way from Brisbane to here, and can not pick the strawberries like AD. I can understand the lady, she might want to pick the big strawberries for commercial sale, but I did ask the staff before we pick from Block 4.
After that, we plan to leave the frame with 3/4 box of strawberries, than I see the sign for this frame, which call "Dimond strawberry".
I wonder the N&J has run out the strawberries in your frame, and arrange the next door farm to helping service customer.that is great customer service idea, but please make sure you has communicate with this guys before you arrange the customer to pick from other farmer's block. If the service different to your public AD, the customer will feel such disappointed like us!

A huge strawberry field with so many sweet and big strawberries waiting to be picked up, what a fun experience!

Went today and honestly it was quite underwhelming. Every year we go strawberry picking quite a few times and this was our first time at this farm. We went to each of the fields (small front right, large front left and the back field) and each smelled of rotting food, was overrun with weeds and not maintained.

We do feel bad as the farm has likely suffered from the lack of backpackers and being a large farm would be likely entirely unmanageable by one family but it's state was far from what we've seen at any other farm.

While we did get some good strawberries, it took us an hour and a half of going in each field, checking through bushes and turning thousands of strawberries to get eventually about 3kg worth. The isle and plants were full of rotting and moldy strawberries, some plants being almost entirely mold covered berries hanging from them. Some berries were to the point that they become instant mush on touching them if they were not already disintegrating on the plant or weed matting. The Isles were extremely overrun by weeds and many Isles were sludgy and muddy (I understand it had rained last night, however other farms had managed the muddy Isles.)

The staff were friendly but we were definitely not the only ones having this issue. There were multiple families we overheard complaining of the same issues we had, many people leaving with barely full trays and very white/light trays. There were hundreds of people by the time we left and the fields may simply be getting to the point of overpicked and no produce left but considering all the photos used for advertising show large, red strawberries, nothing like this was seen today. We spoke to a staff member about possibly getting a small top up of the $1kg strawberries they had at the pay area due to the lack of produce in the fields and they apologised and gave us a small handful of strawberries however we saw multiple people going back to the staff on their way out.

From all the reviews it could very well be a lovely farm but I believe at the moment they need a lot of maintenance to bring back the quality of the fields. We went to another farm on the way out of the area, we paid less for around the same amount however the fields were very well maintained and only took us about 20 minutes (due to not having to waste time checking rotting food and checking through overgrown bushes and weeds) as opposed to an hour and a half as well as the strawberries being a lot redder and bigger.

Went here 2 weeks ago and if I can sum up this strawberry farm with one word it would be dump. Weeds were growing all over the place through the fields making it difficult to find berries and the smell of burning rubbish was through the air. Not a pleasant place for families in my opinion, especially with rusty and old machinery everywhere and kids running around.

Only a positive to take away from our time here was the man who I assume is the owner and served me was very polite. Sorry for being harsh, but it's only a matter of time till someone or someone's kid has an accident. Stay safe.
