NightOwl Mary Street

Like another client, I was overcharged twice by NightOwl, when I charged my bus card (go card).
I added 30 AUD and was charged 60 AUD.
I contacted the transportation authority and they assured me that I charged only 30 AUD.
I contacted manager but I never received a refund. He claimed that I bought two different cards in the same day, but as I was traveling alone that seems impossible.
At the store, customer service was not responsive nor efficient.
I spent a lot of time trying to solve the issue and it was all wasted.
I write this here to help to protect, in case something similar happens to you at this premise.
Lastly, no refund was sent to me despite giving all the details of the case. Faulty investigation on their side.

I used to live next door to this Night Owl and everyone who works here was always super nice to me, and they're still lovely when I go in now!

Multiple times I have bought out of date foods/drinks from this place.
The people working at the time don't care and believe they will get away with it.
I'm currently in the process of reporting this to head office & QLD Health & Safety.

Be careful. Saturday 13 July 2019 evening- around 8: 30 PM to 9: 00 PM. The Asian woman at cash counter sells used #Woolworths bags for 20 cents. When I told her it's used, she told be the other fresh bags were small. Told her I come here every day so don't give me this excuse. If I pay 20 cents for a bag, I should get a new one and not a used one.she was super rude to slam the water bottles in the other new bag!
Be careful! I am sure #NightOwl doesn't have the right to sell #Woolworths bags.

Be careful of this shop as I was charged twice for the same product that I purchased on the 31/12/2018 and charged for it again on 3/1/2018. The shop manager/Owner was extremely reluctant to show up and help me sort out why I was charged twice despite one of their workers who stated he was working those days and hadn’t seen me. I have reported this transaction to my bank with the fraud squad. Thanks to having my lawyer friend with me who witnessed all of this. Check your bank statements thoroughly if you have shopped here.

Convenience on door step. Small but well stocked store. You can shop almost all everyday items here. Friendly and helpful staff. It keeps me going through my late night Ben & Jerry Cravings. Have always had a great experience.
