Went here as a one off thing, as was selling our family home and had to have a month off work, to move, find a new house, settle dad into aged care, sell the excess, donate goods, have a yard sale, and do tip runs, lots of work.had to get some food on the last week just to get through the first week back at work, till my first pay.for the donation of 5 dollars it was great I could have meals for the week, breakfasts and few snacks to get through that first week at work.staff are helpful, friendly and understand the situation.remember it's good to know there is help out there in hard times, so good to give charity unwanted goods.i donated lots of good quality goods to charity when we closed dads house down too.

They are very caring and understanding and so helpful. Amazing people who work there and I appreciate the help they provide for people in need.

Not sure why, but one of the volunteers on front desk had an issue with me. Barking at me to get outside the office, but let two or more in before and after me. Then proceeds to look me me, stating: oh you look familiar, Im guessing you've been here before. Umm. No.
Was told by her that I could have free items, but volunteer wheeling my items told me to stop, and that I was not allowed to go into kitchen. SMH. Items were free as a giveaway.
Not to mention that there was nowhere to sit, as others just sat there, making conversation. Welfare workers with their clients, and those networking.
Seriously, this place does a good thing, I'm not second guessing that. But, clearly your volunteers need extra training. Just because people need assistance with food, does not mean they trade off their right to respect.
Finally, the attitude when I offered to donate my time to help with Language and Literacy. Oh my, this volunteer became so uncomfortable with the idea. Numerous quals in LLN. Employment Services TESOL. Clearly I reminded this person of someone she doesn't like, because she looked at me awkwardly.
Thanks for the food, but the attitude was horrendous. Everything that people dread about asking for help came true.

I highly recommend Nexus Care as the food parcels they provide are very relevant and great quality! A standard box always has fruit and veg, fresh bread, tuna, cheese, mince, frozen veg, margarine eggs and they often have extras (roasts, feminine hygiene products, bickies to name a few) for $5! They are a true Christian organisation and do offer other support services too. The staff and volunteers are all warm, friendly and helpful.

The Nexus care community are amazing. They were there for our family when we were at a low point in our lives and needed support.

The kind people here provide awesome food hampers for those on low incomes. Always friendly and helpful. They also have regular morning teas and budget cooking classes. I totally recommend going to them if you are in need of food assistance.

The lady at the reception was kind and polite but other than that, I was mistreated for some reason. It was my first time after a referral but it's my last visit.

Loving, carefree, awesome people so helpful in so many ways and the generosity is beyond grateful and harmony to all those that have needed their assistance so so appreciated for the hard work these amazing people do, GOD BLESS them ALL!

Wonderful caring service. I picked up a good parcel last month when I was struggling financially.

A very efficient & friendly food charity provided by the kindness of the Nexus Church Parishiners gracious giving! All you need is your health care card & id & $7.00 provides 3 hampers over 3 months! The hampers include some canned items but frozen meat & very fresh friut & vegetables! At Christmas time an extra Christmas hamper is added with Christmas pudding & mince pies! Soft drinks & heaps of chocolates & sweets! Parking is available at the back!
