Normally fast, friendly, knowledgable and efficient. When the adults are there. The two young girls who were left to watch the store this afternoon had no interest in stopping their conversation when my husband and I walked in to purchase lottery tickets from the counter. Even when I said "Hello? " the attitude seemed to be that I was the one who should wait for their very important conversation to conclude. In fact it was so important, that the moment I stopped speaking and turned around to check if there was anything my husband wanted, their conversation instantly resumed, and I again had to wait for them so I could finish my transaction. While the one who was serving me was talking and waiting for the payment to process, she started fiddling with, folding and rolling my ticket putting a big crease in it. I generally like my new items to look new for as long as possible, regardless of the nature of the item, and it is customary to accept that a purchased item belongs to the customer BEFORE payment has been completed and this little girl showed no respect for anyone by any of her actions today. I am unsure if it was a result of misplaced trust in their willingness to provide the standard of customer service we have come to expect over the many many years of living and shopping here, or if it was poor training, poor retention or both, I will be avoiding this newsagent unless I see the grown-ups working, thanks.

Went in this morning and asked for help with the printer cartridges. The young girl looked at me and just said “No”. I was just shocked and then the other lady said “you will have to google it”. I have better things to do in my life then waste $150 on a business that talks to people like that. I was the only customer in the stare and the basic don’t care attitude was horrendous. Will never go back.

I would like to thank the very kind person who handed mum's lost purse into Nextra Marlin Coast Newsagency.
Also a big thank you to the lovely staff at the newsagency for passing on the purse to Center Management.
