Newtown Hotel

Happy with my parmy with the Newtown topper, but my son wanted the upgrade parmy.the standard one. I tasted the sauce.sorry it was disgusting. He didn't eat it. Very disappointing considering it was a $48 meal (in a pub). Won't be back.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and that makes a big difference when it comes to feeling good about a place. Well done guys

Food was great. Service really friendly. Was so hungry I could of eaten a buffalo and a croc. Luckily, they were both in the menu!

The staff I spoke to were absolutely amazing. I had a great conversation. Probably the best night after a very hectic day.

We came we tried we won't go back. Nothing against the staff just food was mediocre at best pepper gravy was a let down lol and I love my pepper gravy. Steak was good that's about it.

The food was well cooked and it arrived in a reasonable time. I really enjoyed my steak. I think my favourite part of this restaurant is that you get a selection of any two sides. Your two sides can be hot chips and hot chips! Double chips is always a good time.

Been there a few times.tonite was the second time our meal order was not put through to the kitchen.the people we were with ordered their meals after ours and got there meals and were finished their meals, we asked if there was a delay on our meals as we haven't received our meals and were told our the meals hadn't been put through to the kitchen, only half the order for our tables was.stuff up on their behalf.was offered a free drinks.
Not happy as this is the second time this has happened there.

Not the most inviting pub from the outside or inside. Food was okay, over priced for what was basically a sizzle steak, which they over cooked. The only decent thing was how friendly the staff were.

Great food. Friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. Our group has decided the Newtown will be our special place for our monthly lunches.

Regularly dine for family dinner catch-ups. Last night the restaurant was nice and warm, meals were delivered in good time and staff very friendly - shout out particularly to Trish who provided excellent service.

Had not been here for a number of years and was pleasantly surprised with the layout. Loved the chicken wings served before lunch arrived. Very enticing to make you want to go back. Meals were very enjoyable. Couldn't fault the service the waitresses were all very friendly.

Meals were fairly good. Very quick at getting them out. Cold beer.
But the night we went was cold outside and so was inside. It was freezing so not very comfortable to eat.

A great simple old style pub environment loved it! Big hearty meals but not too big just the right amount at a great price!

Open 11.30 to 2.30 for lunch which is very convenient with a fab $15 steak & veg. Beer choice restricted to typical Qld brands with one variable craft beer tap. Good seating. Good food and service. High quality roasts and steaks. Variable menu. Very reasonably priced.

Met up with 3 mates for lunch
3 of us had steak and the other mate had rissoles. Beer was nice and cold

Good food and service, Maddie the bar professional is amazing at customer service. 10/10 for staff friendly. Great atmosphere and food.
