5Very pleasant. Heaps of bits & pieces that may make nice little stocking fillers. Prices not perfect, but not to bad at all.
I was talked to very rudely for not wearing a mask even though I have a medical exemption and stated this clearly to the 2 staff members behind the counter. One of the staff then walked away and proceeded to talk about me loudly to other customers with me standing right there and then when I tried to show her the QLD Government website where it states that I am well within my legal rights, she called security to ask them to come and escort me out for not wearing a mask and that I wouldn't leave her store. She never once had even asked me to leave the store! This was an incredibly disturbing experience for me and the staff members here clearly need to brush up on Australian Anti-Discrimination laws and realise that if they insist on treating customers this way, they could be report for breaching the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 and they would be held liable.
Always friendly, I like the way they always wish me luck when I buy a lotto ticket. Some don't bother in other shops.
Such friendly staff and a shop full of unique foggy, great to browse!
Wanted to buy some local newspapers to put into gift packs to send to random Australian soldiers serving overseas and tried to pay via eftpos but was told no because it totalled under $10.even when I explained the cause, the answer was still a rude and abrupt no. Never again will I buy a single item from here. Plenty of friendly newsagents around in Nerang who are more worthy of my regular business.
