8I'm visiting Cairns from the Gold Coast. I popped into this shop this morning to purchase some reading material. The female staff member was quite rude and abrupt so more than happy to take my business elsewhere.
If it was possible to give no stars I would! I understand your policy on drinks and how that applies to people, but at the age of 52, I think I can manage to hold a cup of coffee! And to be approached in such a rude manner, will never shop again at newsexpress Cairns central again!
Staff helped me find what I was looking for and was uplifting and joyful as she served. A positive experience
Scoured Cairns trying to find a place to print email attachments on a Saturday. Library was booked out, copying place was closed, covid killed the internet cafés but finally News Express to the rescue.
Thank You to the super helpfull young lady, saved the day.
NewsXpress Cairns Central has a good selection of greeting cards, magazines & decorative items for the home + Lotto & scratchy Card purchase. I'm somewhat disappointed with my recent 2022 A4 Diary looking for 2 Days to a Page which was labelled, looking through the Diary it's not completely 2 Days to a page with Fri Sat & Sun on one page & ended up purchasing the diary after searching everywhere around Cairns without luck. [I certainly wouldn't label this Diary 2 Days to a Page]
I asked politely if they could print something A4 for me at the copy scan and fax counter. She rolled her eyes and said how many pages? I responded with one please.
She printed the one page in black and white and said that's $4.50!
I was a bit shocked and said would it cost more to get a few pages done.
She replied it's $4.50 the first page and 30 cents every page after that!
Definitely not recommended for and printing needs
Best newsagents in town. Fantastic staff, great range of products other than newspapers, magazines, lotto & scratch its.
