Newstead Brewing Co reviews
62 First time visiting. Met a group of people for an event. We were in the front area facing the street. This meant that any air-conditioning was going straight outside because all the doors were open. They provided one fan that was moved around the area, but it didn't make much difference.
The food was good but they ran out of one of the dishes and a few people were disappointed.
I really like Newstead Milton for its casual atmosphere, great rate of crafties, simple food, and friendly staff.
And the Tuesday night deals are unbelievable.
Yeah nice little boozer. Great spot for lunch and beers. Staff are young and chatty, very friendly. Food is reasonably priced and yummy. Drink is good. Great range of beers. They have done surprisingly well with the atmosphere as they are right across the road from the stadium. Great spot for a Sunday session. Will surely be back again sometime
Great atmosphere, location and beer selection! Came here for a drink after the footy and had a good time. Very cool architecture and decor, they’ve done a fantastic job here.
Delicious beer and food pairings. Brewery tour was actually excellent. I seriously rate the new Japanese Lager (RE -FRESH-ING). Do yourself a favour and try these local Brisbane Legends - really relaxing Sunday.
Great beer and to be so close to Suncorp stadium was epic. My only issue was the food. Ordered popcorn chicken and was so surprised it came out within 5 min. Realised it most likely was sitting in a warmer and served semi warm. Edible but didn't want to complain as I've worked in hospitality before. Fries were the same as well. Only hot dish was pizza.
I would go back but avoid those two snacks.
$6.50 for a can of Coke.
Even though the service was fine, I’ll be avoiding in future.
1st time visiting won’t return
Food over priced for a very average meal, chips came out cold on every plate of food on our table.
Bar is extremely understaffed
One one of the bar staff, was completely rude and obnoxious, lucky the other bar staff member made up for it
The staff were very helpful and friendly, I had the chicken parmigiana which was great but others had the burgers which tasted good but the burgers patties were so tiny
Refusing cash payment. Attempting to buy a $50 round and won’t accept legal Australian tender. Ridiculous.
Great place to go any time l, but ideal before and after a game or concert at Suncorp Stadium. For the best seats try and book before, but they usually have a few walk in tables. Outstanding beers and jugs from $20
Service was ok, we both had pork ribs, very disappointing, TWO SHORT RIBS for $37! And they were dry. Very disappointing.
Wonderful food, beer and staff. Overall experience was excellent. Ribs were amazing. Had to get a receipt a week later and Cheryl was on to it so fast. Really appreciate the effort.
Excellent reasonably priced and remarkable food, well above the expectations I had for a brewery venue. The salmon especially was incredible with a great slaw, sauce and bread. The buffalo wings were excellent as well. Good range of interesting beers as well.
Went down to Newstead Brewing Co for a company lunch and had some of the most scrumptious finger food lunches!
Package included a drinks tab and a pre-ordered set menu which had deliciously prepared items like pumpkin arancini balls (my personal favourite on the day) and pizzas.
Overall, great atmosphere to be at and enough outdoor heaters to keep us warm. Super friendly staff who kept us well fed, assuring that food is coming out while catering for other patrons within the venue. Definitely would come back again for a proper lunch with mates! Recommend for company lunches or lunch with your family or friends.
I visited lunchtime on Wednesday with a group of mates. We dined on the terrace overlooking the street.
The was a good variety of beers - the stout was highly praised by the group.
For the meals - pizza and squid were most popular.
Still recovering from the floods at the moment so a reduced food and beer menus but a great space with plenty of space, the food is good and the beer great
Fantastic venue for a feed and beer before the footy. Staff are very friendly with great service
Just a great drinking space. Offers the core Newstead range on tap, the occasional seasonal brew and the odd guest beer.
This is more like Paradise Found, than Lost (sorry, Milton). The food's not to shabby either. You'd be happy to stop just for a pint, or get a session on.
Conveniently adjacent to Lang Park/ Suncorp stadium for big game pre and post analysis.
The food wasn't too tasty and the portions were fairly sad and small for the price.
I'm sure management will blame their kitchen staff for this as they have in their responses to other reviews, but this definitely seems like a top-down issue.also, bring back the pingpong and pinball.
