Jo is such a wonderful teacher, very welcoming and the community around the studio is also amazing:) From 0 salsa experience to confident to go to events in the city. I Love Jo Anne’s classes! We do couples salsa and I also do ladies Fitness and salsa classes with Jo Anne and have also done a little Samba! Jo Anne has a really fun way to teach and has the whole class laughing the whole way through. The social dances she organises are also really great to practice the moves we learn in class.

I had the best few months with Jo Anne & Amy teaching our group. I was a novice but they made it fun and simple, like you are amongst friends having a laugh. Thanks so much for making 2020 memorable for the right reasons!

I tried My Little Havana during COVID as something to do and now I have booked my third course! Jo and Amy are the most attentive teachers, and because of their knowledge and patience we all are progressing comfortably together and it’s such a great place to have fun and learn authentic Salsa!

I loved My Little Havana at Hawthorne. I did the beginner level and have signed up for the next level. Jo Anne is not just a beautiful lady, she is an excellent instructor. Once you sign up for a class you have access to online lessons as well, which makes learning a lot easier as you can practice at home by watching them and following the steps. I didn't have a partner - so this made my learning super enjoyable. Highly recommend singles and couples to get along to My Little Havana, Hawthorne.

Guys.no matter what you think, trust me, you can dance! After a very bad experience with a different dancing academy (bachata, not salsa though), I thought I am an "natural anti-talent":) However, thanks to Jo and her My Little Havana academy, I now not only know I can dance but I actually really enjoy it! It is obvious that Jo loves what she does and she is able to transfer her enthusiasm to students!

I have been learning Cuban salsa with My Little Havana (MLH) for about a year now, I have thoroughly enjoyed the time learning from Joanne. The classes are fun and the people I have met have been amazing, at class and also at organised socials. Joanne always makes sure everyone in class feels confident and capable with the curriculum from basic to advanced moves, always going the extra step to ensure this. I am now learning in the intermediate classes, learning a lot and loving it.

I have been dancing with My little Havana for just over a year now, I started by just doing a beginners Salsa class, but more recently have been attending upwards of 6classes a week! This is because of the fun learning environment and community feel that My little Havana has! Jo Anne offers a wide range of classes at MLH that really gives everyone a chance to improve their Cuban style. I have learnt so much at MLH and have really developed a love of Cuban dance and music, met some amazing life long friends along the way and even travelled to Cuba to put my skills to the test.

I have been attending MLH for almost 8 months. I absolutely love this academy! Jo is super talented, and is an absolutely fantastic teacher. Jo has such patience and is very passionate about students reaching their full potential and achieving success. Attending this academy has honestly changed my life, and I have climbed ladders. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The MLH family are so close and everyone is always willing to help others.
