This is such a great location, especially if you've kids, with the playground right next door. The food is great too - go for the fish tacos!

The acai bowl is so good! All the ingredients are fresh and taste.

The staff are nice and friendly.

I'd highly recommend this place for a brunch.

A wide variety of things on the menu! Everything looked absolutely delicious and I was super excited! I would say it’s a decent place to eat… our food unfortunately was on the colder side even after having to wait 45 minutes for it. However, everything had a great flavour, definitely some potential there! Just sad that my food was cool and my drink was warm.
Overall, an ok experience but I won’t be rushing back

If you're a first timer to Cairns or just a local, then Muddy's Cafe is a MUST! A great selection of food and drinks and their open from 6.00am to 7.30pm 7 days a week. Great sea views and the food was tasty, juicy, and delicious and generous in size and very reasonably priced. The fish and chips and salad were fresh and crispy and served quickly. Staff were friendly and professional too, restaurant was very clean and the outdoor wooden tables and chairs just add to the overall Cairns vibe - laid back And don't forget they deliver and do takeaway! Very Highly recommended

Great menu and juice bar, coffee, four big playground areas for variety of ages and two water parks and a full uninterrupted views of Cairns harbour. Best spot in Cairns!

We had the seafood basket for 2. It would have been better to have a couple of young children to share it with. It was a very generous serving & also delicious.

Food is decent - if you're ok waiting as people who get there after you get served before you.

Don't ask the staff for assistance - they're incredibly unhelpful.

I'll start with a summary: there is simply nothing to not love about Muddy's.

I stayed in Cairns for about a week for work (and you couldn't ask for a nicer place in the world for your job to send you on travel!), and after discovering Muddy's we ended up going for breakfast almost every day.

The location is picture perfect - set among some beautiful lush green trees with an adjacent playground for the kids to enjoy, right along the boardwalk and water. You can just sit and relax while staring out at the sea and taking in all the beauty that is Cairns. There's plenty of indoor and shaded outdoor seating, although because of the popularity sometimes you may need to wait a few minutes for a table.

The food is excellent, and you essentially just can't go wrong with anything here. The thick milkshakes (thickshakes) are outstanding - among the best vanilla shakes I've ever had. The sourdough toast is heavenly, especially loaded up with butter and strawberry jam. The chai lattes are excellent, and the açai bowl is outstanding (with fresh fruit and optional peanut butter and yogurt). The smoothies and juice drinks are to die for, made fresh to order. It's almost worth traveling to Cairns just for a Muddy's smoothie!

The service is equally wonderful, with staff bringing food to your table after you order either online via QR code at your table or in person at the register. Food is brought out as it's ready, so you will likely get different parts of your order at different times, and similarly food for different people in your group will likely come out at different times. The staff are super friendly, and on the rare occasion when a mistake was made they were more than happy to fix it.

There's a reason Muddy's is always so busy - it's a true gem among many great restaurants in town. If you're here looking for a great place for breakfast, a cafe to relax and get a coffee, or desire an afternoon treat, Muddy's is where you want to be!

A magic location on the waterfront. It sits between two children's play grounds, one of which is a water park.
The food is great and service is wonderful. Because of it's popularity be prepared for a small wait for your order. The wait though is definitely worth it.
Although the team is flat out they still have a smile and a little chat.
Don't miss it. You will regret it.

Location, food and service! Muddys have them all in droves. Great atmosphere and feel. The breakfast is amazing. Easily the best we've had in Cairns. Highly recommended.

Great cafe for a coffee, ice cream and cake.also they do fish and chips and burgers.little expensive but for the location it is so great. Kids can play in the playground and adults can sit and relax with water views.

This is a regular haunt for us. We usually visit for dinner on a Saturday night, but decided to have brunch here the other day, for something different. The smoked bacon was to die for! Would love to know who their supplier is so we can cook it at home. We would like to buy a fresh juice every now and then, but way too expensive for us.

Great location. Bit windy the day we were there. I was surprised they do not do all day breakfast, but the burger was a close 2nd.
Mr Big Stuff was enormous. This is the first time in my trip I was not able to grasp the massive burger and guide it in to my mouth. Massive beef pattie, bacon, egg, cheese, grilled pineapple, beetroot.to name a few.
I had to resort to knife & fork to finish the job. Well done chef. But using implements on a wire basket had its challenges as well.
Iced latte (coffee) was an espresso shot and what tasted like ice & water. Probably quite authentic, but most places use milk, cream and even ice cream. I would have preferred a milkshake.my mistake.

Went to Cairns on our honeymoon, wanted to try lots of different places. Went to Muddy’s and didn’t need to go anywhere else.

Would go back to Cairns just for this cafe

Visited this beautiful cafe twice during my short stay. Quite a few vegan options and the setting is just stunning. Great service.

Customer service has always been very poor. Especially by the blonde lady, unsure if she's the manager. Only go there because it's convenient to grab a quick bite while at the playground. Long waits as well. Food very oily
