Mr Toys Toyworld Lawnton

Bit of an average store. Bit of a mess, unorganised with stuff everywhere. Then noticed inconsistent pricing on same items in same location on same shelf, different price.

Some stuff is also very overpriced.

3 items incorrectly priced at $6.99, they scanned at $16.99. Service assistant would not sell the 3 at $6.99. Its no surprise that most people choose to shop at Big W where the majority of products are cheaper anyway. Worst carpark design in Brisbane.

Helpful staff who look like they enjoy their job and want to be at their place of business. Hardly any wait time for assistance and very helpful.

Hot wheels range is good but could be improved.
My son is an avid collector and gets disappointed when we go there and it thr same car's a majority of the time.

Always buy my Pokémon cards from here. Big purple bear out front seems a bit sketchy though

I find so many interesting toys and toys that are sold out in other toy stores. Mr Toys lawnton has really good prices and specials.and the staff are so friendly and helpful.

Wanting assistance in buying a remote control car for my grandson was told no one here can help the guy that knows all about them is not in today and we can't help because we don't know.and proceeded to walk away.left a little dumb founded. Service.no service dissapionted

Plenty of staff on the shop floor but all standing around having a chat when customers clearly needed help, and no prices on half the stuff in the store, very frustrating

I slipped over here pretty bad this morning right at the entrance. Please be careful when entering the store when it's raining.

I'm kinda old, but I kinda still love toys! I also like the idea of collecting and things becoming more valuable over time!
I've been to Mr. Toys Lawnton a few times now and I always gets lost in the Isles and wish I could buy more than I need or came to buy. Love the nostalgia! This store is fairly big and has an awesome and large variety of toys and gifts and games! I recommend it

Staff always helpful. Lots of variety. More than Big W or Kmart although probably more expensive. Kids love shopping here with their pocket money though.

As an adult I have enjoyed wondering through this store. Needling to justify to get something for the mini people (kids) in my life and not just for my own pleasure

I went in on the 25/1/22 I was browsing the hotwheels and a worker came over he started unpacking brand new hotwheel mostly jdms he asked me if I wanted any before he hung them when I went to the counter to pay he gave me a treasure hunt I wasn’t even planning on buying anything I walked out with 7 cars he was so nice definitely deserves to be awarded for his actions

Service excellent. Variety just as good. The shop was extremely hot and not comfortable to browse in on a hot day but other than that I would recommend highly.

Went in today to get a Gemex pack for my daughter, Mr Toys Lawnton was out of stock. Tegan who works there offered to go out of her way to pick up another from a different store in her own time! And then being it to Lawnton for me. That there is exceptional customer service and going above and beyond! I just want to comend Tegan.

Melinda the check out girl was rude and had no personality at all. Asked for a discount on a Ty backpack which had dirt on it, she rolled her eyes and only offered 3 dollars off.

After being quite helpful in the past and my usual go-to for Pokemon cards, I unfortunately had a rather disheartening experience at the Lawnton store this morning (Friday November 26th 2021). This in regards to a particular highly in demand pokemon card item called the "Celebrations Ultra Premium Collection Box". After phoning around a few Mr Toys stores yesterday afternoon, Lawnton was the only one who told me they would have a few of this item to sell in store (with most being "on hold" or "presold out", which seemed to be the case at most stores). The staff member on the phone told me just make sure you're here at 9am in the morning to get one, and so happily I obliged, driving about 45 mins out of my way in the hope of purchasing one of the few remaining. I even arrived 30 mins early and waiting for the store to open. About 10 others ended up arriving behind me, but I was first in the line and hopeful. Another customer in line told me he had been directed to Lawnton store by his local Rothwell store as "they were the only one with some stock to sell" and this customer had been told they had around 15 units to sell.

Unfortunately, upon the shops opening and after asking at the counter, I was told that no, there was no stock for walk-ins and it was all spoken for and "on hold". I tried to tell them about how I'd been told otherwise the previous day on the phone, but the lady just said "sorry, no" and didn't have much else to say on the matter. I was left quite dejected and having used up my morning for nothing, as it was already too late to try make it any other locations.

I truly hope this wasn't a case of staff catching on to the potential "re sale value" of these items (approximately double their retail price) and deciding to hold onto them for themselves or friends. It was definitely a saddening and disappointing experience and I hope doesn't reflect how things will go for future popular items, Pokemon or otherwise. I'm going to have one very sad 9 year old boy come this afternoon.

EDIT: I've since found out that multiple people tried Lawnton store for this product AFTER I had been told they had none to sell, and were able to walk-in and purchase the item. One customer even told me at around 10am he called and got one put on hold for him while he drove there. Quite upsetting development, and they've lost a customer in me now unfortunately.

Great store, with a huge range, needed help finding a toy and the staff guided me personally to the exact spot. They still stock of the item I was looking for even in the lead up to Christmas.

Would have been happy to stay and look around, but the staff were so loud talking about thier personal lives i felt like id walked into a teenagers bedroom.

Has pretty much everything you can think of that a child and a big child might like. Remote control cars, bubbles, Lego, floatation devices and inflatable pool toys.
