Mount Coolum Golf Club Proshop reviews
28Never felt so ripped off for a game of golf $160 for two of us for a course that most public courses wood be far better - and we played on a week day - give this place a miss - pro staff where friendly but the course simply is not worth the trip - ffs
Very disappointing game of golf today 13/2/2023.
The tee boxes were full of divots, greens recently cored & while playing up, fairways were being cored in front of us. Then we get to the next hole and couldn't play it as the tree loppers were around the tee box. Heaps of ground staff etc cutting grass on fairways, chopping branches off trees, lots of dust from workers etc. Made for a really aweful game of golf for the 3 of us.
No mention of all the work being done when we arrived and charged full price which was very disappointing.
Challenging course as most of the greens are not very big. First 9 holes have wide fairways next nine closing in trees on both sides. Kangaroos here and there so when playing my husband I said play the ball where it lands:) that roo was not moving and a very big daddy roo was very close. That ball ended up being burried by the roo.
It's a really nice flat golf course but really hard.
You have to hit over several creeks or hit short and lay up and there are a few holes that are dog leg holes. Don't get caught out by trying to hit to the corner unless your a big hitter because like the old saying goes (the harder you try the worse it can be). But it is a very scenic course with the BIG rock over looking you.
Really friendly staff. Jeff and others looked after us very well. Beautiful course and well maintained.
If you are looking for a social round of golf on the Sunshine Coast, this is probably the best course for the purpose. Depending on level of the group, if you're around bogey golf level, then this is definitely the course for you. The other courses may be a bit fancier but Mt Coolum is beautiful, in very good condition and the right level of difficulty. Well worth a round!
One of the most beautiful courses I've played at! Views to die for under Mount Coolum. Incredible fairways and greens, a must visit!
Very enjoyable round of golf; scenic course - views, kangaroos, nice bistro with good food, good beer, and tables on the balcony overlooking Mt Coolum.
Much improved since my last visit a couple of years ago. New head greenkeeper and assistant manager seem to be transforming the course. Greens still very small and difficult to stop the ball on. Otherwise very nice. Club house good beer cold and good selection. Food could have been better but was well cooked.
Way to expensive for condition of course. It used to be an amazingly kept course I was upset to see it in current state.
Great course and venue, staff were all friendly and helpful! Was part of the first social golf event by Sunshine Coast Golf Tournament - Thanks Richard, we’ll organised and had a great time!
Great course especially for holiday maker.
Wide and good fairway for all level of golfers mixed with some chalanging tight holes. I had to let a few local groups pass us as we have a slow player. They all just skip the holes so we didn't have to wait while they playing passing holes. Appreciate consideration for tourist.
The Greens was a slow but it was well acceptable. We all impressed with well managed pretty small gardens all over on the course. Will come back.
What's the most important feature of a golf course? It's greens. Unfortunately the greens at Mount Coolum are currently suffering, and as we're coming into winter and slower growth it's going to be a while before they recover. If you're a serious golfer, give Mount Coolum a miss for now and if you just want a social game in a picturesque setting, get you and your mates booked in.
Great place to relax and play a nice course with absolutely beautiful views. Very friendly club with great food and service. Oh, and the Pro Shop is great. Anything you need. If they don’t have it in stock they get it in ASAP for you. This club and course has got everything you need to have a great day.
Great local course, helpful staff and friendly members. A must for golfers for a social round if on holidays.
We went for rustys bbq and deffinitly didnt disappoint! So worth the drive! Awsome view feed n to wind down for a sunday was what the dr ordered! Deff be back!
Love this course. Can be challenging but is great for all levels. Pro Shop guys are legends and Rusty's bbq is where you want to be for a feed and drinks.
What a great club, friendly relaxed atmosphere - Rusty's American BBQ is worth the trip on a Friday night
An easy walking, flat course that is more difficult to play than it would appear. Staff and members are super friendly and it is a course you should try on the Sunny Coast.
A flat, picturesc and very challenging 18 hole course. Great pro shop and staff. Great clubhouse and bar staff. Very worthwhile.
