Mother Duck Child Care & Pre-School Centre Bracken Ridge

My two sons have attended this kindy for approximately 4 months now. We came from another daycare and the difference in the whole atmosphere speaks for itself. The staff are kind, caring and listen to what you have to say. Never once have I felt my children aren’t being looked after or that my feelings weren’t heard. There’s been a drastic change in my eldest son’s communication and social skills just from the time the educators take with him and the engaging activities. My son used to cry for two years straight on drop off, I used to think this was just an emotion thing and got told by teachers that they do this to make me feel guilty and due to location and lack of space anywhere else we couldn’t move him until we moved houses and I’m glad we did choose mother duck Bracken ridge. I should’ve listened to my gut sooner. My son no longer cries on drop off, and he is happy to go. And my second has settled fast. The anxiety is no longer there sending him. We cannot thank the staff enough. Thank you for helping my son come out of his shell and taking the time with him he needed.

Cared for and welcomed our two girls into such a beautiful learning environment. The staff are kind, respectful and recognise each child as an individual with their own needs and interests. I can't recommend the centre highly enough. Our children attended infant, junior and senior across 2022 & 2023.

At MDBR, I've found more than a workplace; it's a haven of warmth and collaboration. The incredible support from Management, Parents and fellow Educators makes each day fulfilling.

Highly recommend Mother Duck Bracken ridge. All 3 of my kids go here and it really is their second home. Gab & Meg are lovely and very approachable. Their staff are very caring and my kids love them. And the cherry on the icing for me is their ambience and decor of pretty little trinkets (very relaxing to walk into the center) and tea party table set-ups. My kids learnt at a very young age to be careful with ceramics and glassware. I credit this to Mama Duck (as my kids call it).

The best workplace, well curated spaces that caters children's need, well trained staff and a very supportive management. As a mother and educator, I would highly recommend this place.

My daughter started Mother's duck Bracken ridge when she was only 6 months. All educators are incredibly caring and my daughter loves learning from them. They offer so many different things that help to children develop intellectually and personally. I also love the classroom design and reception decor. Everything is very kid-friendly. I would definitely recommend this Mother's duck.

The educators here are so great with my baby. He loves them and enjoys spending time here. He doesn’t even cry during drop offs after a week of starting, waves bye to us and can’t wait to start playing.

Gabrielle the director here is very helpful and lovely! She is also very very organised. It makes a huge difference when a centre is well organised, not just in terms of layout but with staffing, door codes, and how communication with parents are managed.

It may seem hard having to prepare food for your kids everyday, but after sending him to a daycare that doesn’t provide food, I actually prefer preparing it as I know and can see what my baby is actually eating.

Unfortunately we had to move house to sunnybank hills, otherwise would like to keep my son with them for as long as possible.

MDBR has created such a beautiful welcoming environment, from the moment you walk through the door there is always a smiling face to greet you. The educators are so caring and really take the time each morning to listen and understand my child’s needs for the day. There is amazing communication between families and the educators. My son absolutely adores his educators and will happily go for a cuddle each morning.

I couldn’t recommend this centre enough.

I was apprehensive about starting my child in daycare and spent many hours searching for the best.

From the moment I walked into Mother Duck at Bracken Ridge I felt at ease, everyone was so friendly and welcoming and the environments were clean and inviting. They could answer all of my questions with ease and professionalism. You can see the bonds between the educators and the children and also between the staff.
Their philosophy surrounding children makes perfect sense and is evident throughout the centre.
I am so glad that we chose Mother Duck for our little boy, I could not imagine him being anywhere else (and you won’t either)

There is not one single thing I could fault about Mother Duck Bracken Ridge. This place is not just a daycare, it’s family. Whether it’s your first day entering the centre or it’s changing within studios, transitions are made so comfortably for both children and parents, taking away any doubts and minimising children being traumatised during the process. The educators who work here are so hands on and invested in the children, they truly show the difference between educators who love doing what they do vs educators who are only working for the money. These educators have made a beautifully big impact on my children’s life where my children are still talking about their teachers out of daycare hours. Everything at Mother duck Bracken Ride is made easy. Drop offs are made easy, Toilet training is made easy, communication is made easy, friendships are easily made and the environment is made to feel like home once you walk in! The directors are soo understanding in all aspects, from financial to there caring of your children. This centre is AMAZING! If my review can’t help you decide whether or not this daycare centre is for your child, just know I wouldn’t take my kids elsewhere no matter how much money was offered.:)

My kids have loved their time at Mother Duck Bracken Ridge. The team are wonderful, I have only praise and respect for the care and attention to providing a safe, fun, play focused learning environment. The facility itself is gorgeous and full of stimulating delights for kids.

Cannot review these guys highly enough. Both management and staff are super amazing. Friendly, accomodating and it shows they really love what they do and do it so well. My little boy started here when he was only 4/5 months and I honestly can say from day one I felt happy walking away after drop off knowing he was in excellent caring and safe hands. Family and community focused childcare with a professional and dedicated team of educators who truly care about the children? Long term educators and large open spaces allowing the children to explore during all day indoor and outdoor play. The foyer area is just stunning and the ambiance is beautiful!

Mother Duck Bracken Ridge has been a fantastic experience for our family from day 1. We moved our youngest child here for kindy, ahead of starting prep in January 2021, and wish we had done so earlier! The staff are highly attentive, and go out of their way to get to know your child - and other family members - personally. This really helped with our child settling in and making new friends quite quickly. An added bonus is that this centre is always kept neat, tidy and that the owners Gabby and Megan have gone the extra mile to make it feel homely for the children. The centre is highly organised and the children are instilled with the same values and manners good parents expect.

The best daycare I’ve experienced, have had a bad daycare in the past and was terrified it would happen again. My daughter has been here for almost 2 years and have just started my 4 month old I feel like they’re so safe and in good hands. The lovely staff always go above and beyond.

This center is so good. All staff is amazing. They take care babies very well. I feel so secure when i drop my little on here. I know they take care my baby so well.

We love how friendly, warm and genuine all of the staff are. They always have time to talk about our children’s needs. We feel so comfortable leaving our baby in the care of Mother Duck staff, they’re like an extension of our own family.

By far the best daycare in the area around sandgate shorncliffe brighton bracken ridge area after seeing most daycares in the area. Beautiful surroundings for the kids to play in and free roam for kids to play indoors or outdoors all day, the staff are lovely to my daughter
