Asked a sales associate if there were any other ties besides what was hung in the back of the store. He was about to graciously help me, but we were interrupted by a more senior looking associate and he was told to help another customer.

This senior associate looked at me and told me to go down stairs for more ties. I meander off alone downstairs.

This same senior associate happened to continue floating around me, so I happen to ask him if they had any other stock because I wanted 8 of the same tie for my wedding party and I. This more senior associate goes on to tell me they don’t and only order 2. His solution was to buy generic solid ties in either silver, gold, or navy.

I’m not sure what the go was here, apparently my spend wasn’t enough or I didn’t fit old mates preferred clientele.

This is the perfect place to get a suit for your formal. Really friendly and helpful staff that have a much higher fashion sense than I do. You are able to pick out your suit with your own personal flair whilst also receiving recommendations from the very knowledgable staff. Highly recommend getting your suit for formals from here they are amazing and have a wide selection for everyone and even offer tailor making your suit! (which was a truly magical experience) Would give more than 5 stars if possible!

Absolutely fantastic experience at Mitchell Ogilvie. Aleks and Aung were amazing during my three visits. I ordered a bespoke black tuxedo for my wedding. From start to finish I was met by pure professionalism. The quality of suit was perfect. Alterations (after losing a lot of weight over the month) we prompt and precise. I suspect this is the beginning of me spending a lot of time as a MO customer.

Richard and the Mitchell Ogilvie team in Sydney have been absolutely brilliant for me over the past few years. Not only is RIchard an amazing tailor (he made my wedding suit, my groomsmen's suits and also did the same for several of my family and friends), but the care and attention he provides is best in class (and I've had a few tailors over the years). He goes above and beyond to ensure the garments are exactly what I want. Cannot recommend highly enough.

What an amazing place for men's fashion. The boys know exactly what is on point and is in style. Jon especially is very knowledgeable and is a great asset to any man's wardrobe. Highly recommended!

Could not recommend Jon at Mitchell Ogilvie enough! He is incredibly professional and down to earth and his service is unparralelled. He organised custom made suits for my groom, our groomsmen and both our dads for our big day! My dad in particular was very uncomfortable with the concept but Jon was an absolute legend and completely put him at ease. He listened to his concerns with fit and not only delivered but made him genuinely enjoy the process. 10/10!

Went to Mitchell Ogilvie for wedding suits. The first measure up went well, we were given some beers and made to feel at home. The second we noted buttons had not been sewn into the pants for the use of suspenders as well as embroidery on the inside of my jacket was in the wrong spot and illegible due to colourful inner.
A week later I received a call notifying me that suit could be picked up as it was good to go. Upon arriving home, I noticed the changes had infact not occured. Due to these delays there was no time to have this rectified prior to the wedding. They did offer to fix it up after the wedding but that really defeated the purpose of the embroidery in the first place.
For the amount you pay for these suits I expected a more professional service.

Full of pretentious blondes who look you up and down and don't serve you. Typical Australian laidback-ness. You don't see this kind of thing in Europe. Terrible service.

Edward Street is quickly becoming a street in Brisbane to rival the likes of Savile Row and Jermyn Street in London. Mitchel Ogilvie has been in this large town for a long time and it is one of only handful of independent retailers in Brisbane that stock a tasteful selection of quality menswear for the more discerning gentleman.

If you need a suit, jacket, tie or shirts in Brisbane, this is the place to go. I'm disappointed I didn't find it earlier.

They are a touch more expensive then most places in Brisbane, but still very affordable and undeniably worth it. The staff will help you fit your budget.

This place also doesn't try and trick you by selling you a suit based on the type of material used (like the big brand stores on the same street), but rather they explain the quality of the material and help you find what's right.

All the staff here are great, but undoubtedly the best part about the store is their Made To Measure specialist Bruno. I have never had better customer service. He is very knowledgeable of current trends and has great taste. He has gone above and beyond and never tried to decievingly upsell me.

If you're hopeless with suits like me, just ask for Bruno and he will get you sorted.

Only place in Brisbane I would buy a suit from.
