17Just purchased a delicious Xmas ham from Meat on James. Do yourself a favour and try it. Coming from a German family we’re very fussy it has to be dry, smoked and not too salty
Great butcher, high quality meats and the staff is really nice. There’s a young lad behind the counter named max and he made my butcher experience so lovely. I highly reccomend
I moved from the bush to the coast a couple of years ago and was hoping to find a good butcher.
I shop here every week now and I’m never disappointed.
It’s a good shop with good service.
It’s also very reasonable in price considering the location.

Do yourself a favour if you live anywhere on the Gold Coast and buy something from here. It is TOTALLY worth the drive. We will definitely be making this our permanent butcher. We had the orange basted chicken breast roasters which were out of this world with flavour
After being vegetarian for 12 years I decided to start eating meat again. I love that Meat on James sources their products from ethical sources where the wellbeing of the animal is important.
Nice friendly staff but disappointed with sausages! Had too much salt and sausage mince through and all tasted similar disappointing. Also bought mid loin lamb chops which were great and no complaints were amazing
Picked up some lamb rumps from the boys on James st today. Wow what a treat! This place never disappoints! Thanks again guys
Shayne, Russ and the boys are friendly and get to know their customers. The quality of stock is 2nd to none. It is hands down the best pork, leg ham and lamb products we have ever eaten. I can’t recommend Meat on James highly enough!

Great range of general and premium meats, guys are friendly and helpful, selection of premade ready to cook dishes, high quality cold sliced meat, cheeses and dips, premade salads. Everything you need!
Bought a couple of steaks at about $65/kilo from this butcher to surprise a dinner for my partner but the steaks that were given to me were old and turning brown. Quality of meat was lacklustre especially for the price. Disappointing.
Consistent, excellent meats. Very knowledgeable team behind the counter. Easter and Xmas offerings are always superb. We love supporting this Burleigh-local business.
