18 Dr Trent Cross has a well renowned reputation in medical industry for a reason. His attention to detail, care for patients and his expertise are 10/10
Mater private hospital is and always will
Be my go to hospital. Always helped me when needed.
Thanks to all the staff
4hrs + sitting in cold outside presenting problem low oxygen exacerbation asthma.no monitoring or checking.
Full of care for patients… excellent bedside manner. I will be in their direct care soon and I am quite thankful for the team there.
I was seen quickly but by staff with no bedside manner. I was discharged without diagnosis even though I was unable to walk. I am 6 weeks pregnant and was in pain and no abdominal checks were done. Discharge letter says no motor weakness yet had to be wheeled out as I couldn't walk. Worst place I have ever been
My little brother was born there perfectly healthy baby he was now he is 5 years old and when i went to look at him he was sooo cute and that is where i got introduced to something called Bread, sugar and Butter. Thank you so much
Staff are incompetent & completely unprofessional. I've been waiting over a month for a medical certificate after my surgery, my employer has requested this a few times. Every time I call them they seem to log a ticket, which then just "disappears". Because when I call back, they have no recollection of my previous calls. I am also randomly put on hold, where I suddenly get transferred to another department who has no idea why I was put through to them. I don't think anyone really knows what they're doing in the administraiton there, what a joke.
Long wait time on day procedure. Placed in pre-op waiting room for hours after having been given a drug with known side-effects and not being checked on.
I had a procedure done today and I can't commend them enough. Every single person I dealt with was so nice from the beginning to the end. Well done Mater!
Having spent about two weeks of February in the ER, OR, ICU and neuro ward, I have experienced the best care at the Mater. Follow up has been incredible as well.
Just had a minor operation performed and I can honestly say that I have never been to a hospital where all of the staff were so lovely. From the voluntary staff at the greeting desk to the surgeons, they introduced themselves and explained the process, always with a smile. I explained to the anesthetist that I had experienced difficulties from past procedures and was delighted that I actually woke up refreshed from this op. Well done guys, keep up the great work - you all deserve medals for what you do for the community.
Great service good quality food we have a free public system we are very lucky to have this system in place thank you Mater Hospital
Unbelievably Disgusting service! In extreme pain and the Wait time took almost 4 hours with no attention what so ever. Triage nurse took no care for patients.
The quality of service one receives is way too varied in Mater Public. The antithesis of Mater Private. E.g. In Mater Public. A&E delays crazy - initial triage done now by a junior clerk yelling thru a small hole in glass barricade who gets to decide whether and when u progress to a triage NURSE.i saw an woman in her 80s being asked just how much blood she was loosing vaginally by a young clerical girl.a waiting area with about 60 people looked on. A cup or a spoon she asked louder and louder. The woman was mortified. Too many poorly supervised or unsupervised junior doctors. In-patients pushed out door with little regard for readiness - its all about beds. When did the concept of the importance of good nursing and a bit of TLC disappear from the Public hospital landscape? The visiting specialist consultants seem totally PO (with good reason) with the ridiculously complex and dysfunctional hierarchy of medical staff (guess with so many fingers in a pie its difficult to know just who wrecked the pie). Administrative systems appear more of a hinderance than a help.
Given their website advises Mater Private partially funds Mater Public - is this size of the variance in quality of service justified? Ethical? Perhaps a good question for Pope?
Socially disadvantaged people deserve the same GOOD quality medical care which Private patiennts enjoy - which includes mutual respect.
Give up eating before your health insurance.
Was yelled at for asking if I could go home, I believe his words were your a waste of hospital resources and will end up in a bodybag. When I asked him to calm down abit he furthered his aggression towards me. I don't really care because the rest of the staff at great but seriously, what a f-head. #exceptionalpeople #exceptionalcare
Great emergency department, great nurses and good service from all for our visit! Never had a bad experience here.
Awesome Coffee, friendly staff. When I was working on the new Mater Mothers building, they used to open earlier so us die hard caffeine fanatics could get our fix before work.
Cheers Cora, Kelly and all.
Waiting time sucked through emergency, but the staff were so nice, and their attention to detail was top-notch. The doctor attending to the ER last night was professional and she was super understanding. Would go back. Not that I hope I have to, but if I'm dying, Mater is yo man!
2 days here but what great staff. Have to come back in 1 mth. Still alive or at least half alive lol. No that hurts
