Great selection of books and a lovely store. The staff are friendly and helpful and have given me great recommendations when I've asked. A great local bookshop!

Beautiful bookstore - the lady who works there with red hair was less than pleasant after we bought close to $300 worth of books. Sad

This store is run by covidians who enforced a mask mandate to the point of insanity. I advise everyone to browse books in the store, crease them pages and not buy anything

Nice books but every book store does, small shop that is very cramped with the layout. I really didn't like the feel of the store and was happy to get out. I usually love book stores aswell.

I'm going to go out of my way to buy all my Christmas books here because they were good enough to eject the amazingly entitled person who thought he doesn't need to adhere to COVID safe protocols because he decided there was no need, and then gave them one star for doing the right thing.

One of the few bookstores in the area.they stock most new releases plus best sellers. I've called up and they've been kind to place books aside for me too.

Such poor customer service. Too interested in talking to each other rather than interacting with customers. Yes and no answers and making jokes about a customer choice. Plenty of other helpful book stores to buy from.

Made to feel super uncomfortable and followed non stop around the store while trying to find a book for a birthday present. Definitely wont go back.

Great cook selection and greeting cards! Staff is happy to leave you alone to browse, but also to provide a recommendation if you ask!

I really like this book store. Despite it being a small place, I always walk out with great books to read. They have such a good selection of books! If I went to the largest boom store in town, I would not come out with as many gem’s. Great, great selection of books.

While I love the idea of a cafe bookstore, I was incredibly disappointed in the level of food that was provided. The breakfast burrito I ordered had raw bacon, and was so oily that it left a genuine puddle of oil under it.
The smashed avo was good.
When I attempted to find a waitress to tell this to, I was ignored, and after waiting for 20 minutes I decided it just wasnt worth it and paid. The man who served me at the register also wasnt interested.
A disappointing experience for what could be a great place.

Mary Ryan's stores have been an institution in Australia for many years because they do books, music & coffee with style.

Lovely people who may not have had the book I went there for but did however suggest a few places, since being new to Brisbane; what a kind gesture.
