MakoTrac International Racetrack (Go Kart Action, Hire Karts)

My sisters 10th birthday yesterday, pre booked over a month in advance and arrived after a 30 minute drive only to find the gates were locked, 2 cars, 1 full of 10 year old kids. Half a tank of fuel in both vehicles wasted, due to dis-honest owners. No phone calls were replied to, and the reply from the owner to my fathers email, saying pretty much the same thing that I’ve stated here, the lady replied and I quote “so sorry”… absolutely disgusting service and would not recommend to anyone. Thanks for ruining my little sisters birthday, go-kart action.absolutely ruined her entire day.

Highly disappointed booked for our daughters birthday you even sent a confirmation email confirming
Then arrive for our 1pm booking today only to find gates shut and locked
We called loads of times with no reply plus email nothing
Thank u you for letting a van full of kids down over $600 loss for u today

We wanted to book for a 10 year old birthday party, after endless phone calls and emails we finally got it done. 7 racers 3 turns ready to go. Arrive to venue to find a locked gate, won't answer phone and a car full of upset 10 year olds. What awesome service.not! And the sign says 5 stars.yeah right. We only drove 30 minutes. Disappointment!

No 3 star karts available, instructions are very unclear on how to upgrade kart too 2 star.wouldn’t recommend!

I was appalled by this company and how they decide to handle business.

I have been trying to book my partners 30th birthday for months. It is ridiculously hard to get helpful information or help in general.

I left many voice mails looking to secure my date and many more emails. To which no return call or reply to my emails

When I finally get a hold of some one the women tells me oh she lost my information, she was fully booked. Then has the audacity to yell at me saying I didn't answer her questions right.

In the end she offered me 16 mins total on the track. We all live almost 2 hours away. What a joke.

Ended up booking in the Cairns go Karting. Called in and had a 2 minute conversation and it was a done deal with all the clear information I needed.

Absolute garbage service. My partner tried to organise a large booking for a surprise party months in advance only to be stuffed around repeatedly then told a week before the event that nothing was organised and they couldn't fit us in.
They then had the audacity to try to blame it on us and say that contact was lost and they were waiting for a call to confirm things when multiple emails were sent and more than 5 voicemail messages were left trying to contact them over a 2 month period.
Don't even bother trying to work with this utter clown show. Can't begin to believe how a business can be run this poorly and still survive. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

Booking is hard enough as they don't answer emails or phone. When you do get a session you don’t get any help when given a broken kart. Kart did not have same speed as others and steering arm was broken. After reporting we were met with “can’t do anything about that, if I fix it or give you another kart I will go broke”.

Very poorly run business. Would not recommend.

So good luck booking with these guys they don't answer emails, the phone or you wait hours for a return call, very poorly run business

Amazing, exceptional service and coaching. Used to be a 3* kart racer going back to get to that rating again. Go karts are well maintained and perform exceptionally well. Highly recommended for anyone looking for some wild fun.

Best track, fast go karts and the friendliest people ever. We had such a great family day experience

Well Aria took it steady at first but by the second time she was getting into and wanting more time. Could be longer rides but heaps of fun.

Great experience. The track is a great one to learn on, with a bigger track once you're ready to go up levels. Crew are incredibly helpful and teach you, not just maintain the gear.

Took a kid with me as he didn't meet the height requirements in Cairns.

The staff were brilliant with kids, and brought my first-timer from a 1m12sec lap to 32 seconds with a bit of advice in combination with learning confidence and experience.

I had a great time too! Definitely recommended!

Get the kids off the couch and down to Mako, they will thank you for it. My wife, son and myself had a go together. Brilliant fun for our whole family, one of the best kart hire tracks I have been on. They also save your lap time data so you can try to beat your personal best. All the staff were very friendly and genuinely helpful. Great experience.

Great flowing track, but get 1 corner apex wrong and you will muck up the next 2. Karts are pretty quick too.

Great for all ages my 8 year old daughter was able to ride karts on main track along side me and my family at the same time, unlike the tracks in brisbane. The have threequater size race karts, for the younger ones. Was a absolute blasts. Will be back there next visit to cairns, great friendly helpful staff too

We booked ahead of time for a birthday present. Unfortunately because someone else changed thier mind we had to wait and hour longer for our time.

Apart from that the staff were very friendly and the Cafe area was nice. The karts were awesome and so much fun!
