L'Unico Trattoria Italiano

Was part of a 13 person group on Xmas eve.
We were hoping for a great night a Lunico. The company/family was great but the restaurant was a massive let down.
Huge delay to get food. HUGE. All other tables that arrived after us served first. In fact our food came out when the restaurant was nearly empty.
The food when it came was just middle of the road in appearance, and middle of the road in taste versus cost.
The service was poor, our entrees sat on the table for one hour after they were eaten and was only cleared when we asked for it to be cleared. Had to chase cold water, and napkins, beg for those.
Noisy joint too.
To add insult to injury, they charged public holiday surcharge 15% when it wasn’t a gazetted public holiday. Rip off.
They did however discount the bill in an attempt to rectify things.
Regardless, the family had a good time despite each misstep from the restaurant.
To be fair, my wife, daughter and I had breakfast there earlier in the day and it was good.

Went there for dinner
The meals are nice but on the small side and I am not someone that eats a lot. The price makes up for it, that is for the owner as we found it rather expensive. Service was just ok. Did get our Garlic bread halfway thru the main course. The table next to us sent the main course back as it came together with there garlic bread. Now we have been there for breakfast and dinner and where not entirely impressed. Needless to say we want be back.

Amazing food, atmosphere and staff. One of my favourite restaurants on the beaches. All the staff are absolutely phenomenal!

A nice restaurant by the sea.
The food is delicious and the space is lovely.
The food was stylish and tasted good.
This is a store I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

Barra is not saltwater Barra freshwater taste terrible. Salt and pepper squid looks like bait for fishing. The only thing that was good from there was the study of VB

Never eating here again. The staff seems very rude, and untrusting if the guests. Felt really unwelcome doing my visit.

We first came to your Restaurant 25 years ago on our first holiday as a young couple and had my first quality steak and an amazing experience, the service was great and this created a bench mark for us for life. We recently came back 25 years later and I am happy to say that this is still one of my most treasured restaurants and I look forward to coming back soon. The service was great, the food exception and the location is to die for. Please dont change - the formula of great food and good old fashioned great service just cant be beaten

My second stay at Trinity Beach and L'Unico is a must. Food is always delicious and service is good. The only negative is both occasions we have dined there this week is the food has taken a while to either come out or too much time between entrees and mains.

Delicious meals for our family of five. We tried pizza, pasta, fish and pork belly.
Excellent service and extensive food and drinks menu. Something for everyone.

Absolutely delightful. Expecting a limited menu and challenges with staffing but couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and well presented. The staff was friendly and engaging. We were so well looked after. Highly recommend.

L’Unico is not just a restaurant. It is a great cafe. Enjoyed my breakfast there. You can book online or just ring up. Great spot on the balcony. Menu is online also.

Amazing restaurant. Fantastic service and some of the best pasta I've ever eaten. Plenty of Gluten Free options available too!

Highly recommend! I surprised my bf with a weekend away and we were lucky enough to chose this restaurant to dine at. The staff were super welcoming and overly accommodating with my dietary needs, the food was of the highest quality, and the venue was stunning!

We enjoyed a magnificent cocktail with a gentle breeze while overlooking the Coral Sea. Will definitely be back especially when happy hour is on. The food on previous occasions has been very high standard.

Delish Pizza bases at a perfect setting for afternoon cocktails. Will be back to try the other menu choices

Great service, fabulous breakfast with interesting choices and one of the best positions in Cairns.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Great service and amazing food. Menu is extensive and something for everyone. Every server was friendly and helpful. The quality of food was exceptional. Do yourself a favour and give this restaurant a go!

I'm lost for words, we were assured that these pizzas were good, only to be given a pizza that was so thin that the cardboard box was thicker.
The topping was so thin and limited you had to search for the ingredients.
When we picked the pizza up I thought they had forgotten to put the pizza in the box as it was so light, the base was dry and the crust was burnt. Never again.

Awesome food, excellent service, spectacular location! Thank you for a great experience, we will be back!
