Loveday's Quality Meats reviews
22Best sausages I’ve ever had in my life! Specifically the lamb variations and the Texan bbq. B52 burgers are the bomb as well, so juicy. Best butcher on the GC!
Don’t bother placing orders with these kids! Amateurs. They take your details. Promise goods for a certain day, then just forget about you. Why I yo even keep a diary? As I say. Amateurs!
Bought some Burleigh Burgers from here and got severe food poisoning so bad that an ambulance had to be called. Gave them a second chance over a year later and they overcharged me $50. Will never be back and wouldn't even feed the meat to my dog.
Tried to reach out to this shop about a staff member using their bare hands when taking meat out of the display. They ignored/removed my comment on fb which merely asked why their staff member was doing this. Hence the rating as, although their products are good, I don't understand why a staff member handling food like this is considered acceptable?
Judging by the other negative reviews this place has a history of ripping off customers. Bloke charged me $35/kg for topside. Ya kidding?
Why is there at 10: 15 thus morning some five employees working there and not conforming with the QLD mandatory mask requirements.
Best rissoles experience since I was a kid.
Amazing work Loveday's. You certainly added more love to my day. Thank you
These guys make the best quality flavoursome snags in the world. Their jerky is the bomb too. They are a great family business. The only thing stopping me voting 5 stars is I support them every Xmas for the last 5 years in my family owned business by buying lots of hams for my staff yet they tried to up the Ham bags by double due to Covid? I was like really?
Best sausages in Aus. Highly recommend the Texan & South America Chorizo flavours, although you can't go wrong with any sausage flavours they have on offer.
Absolutely the most tender and flavorful steak I have found on the Coast. Andrew and his crew are very friendly with an abundance of knowledge about their products.
Also you just have to try their range of gourmet snags.
I had this wonderful lady help me today to home deliver because I cannot get out to the shops. She was wonderful and helped me select what I needed. I had delivery within the hour. Her name is Shane and she is Angel. I hope you know who I am. You know my grandson. I can't thank you enough. Great quality meat. Support our local businesses.
The best and most underrated butcher in Australia. Not only do they offer prices that are highly competitive with your local supermarkets, the head butcher Andrew is always telling about the new ideas he has for the next type of sausage he wants to create.
This place is the business best range of limited run sausages at good prices, delicious chilli beer sticks and the can't leave without steakette I don't even care what's in it.it's life changing. Keep it up boys
Friendly service, quality meat. Actual grass fed beef. They also have nitrate free bacon.
Their sausages are great but you’ve probably seen all the awards they have for sausages etc.
I come from Southport for their meat.we phone through orders of stock they don't make all the time and they know who we are and what we want and it's always ready when we get there. They always remember you no matter how long it's been between transactions they don't even need to see you to know who you are. Andrew and Shae are awesome butchers and fantatic people.
Okay, let me start by saying I've been coming here on and off for a few years.
The last few times I've been served here has been by a younger male, solid build, who always grabs your food with his bare hands. That's really unprofessional and unhygienic, surely you have rubber gloves or tongs? His hands are always filthy from handling other meat and scraps on them and he also handles money with them hands.
Coming from an upmarket seafood background I did not appreciate seeing my food been disrespected like this, also his whole persona was extremely arrogant and when I asked a couple questions he was very short.
It's a shame because this place has good quality meat and very good sausages, most of the staff are cheery too. The last few times I've got the red meat it's been very fatty and uneatable grisly bits throughout the entire steak, even tho the cut is an extremely lean cut (eye fillet). I'll probably just return for sausages as they're outstanding.
But all in all it's just a shame that food handling is poor and customer service matched it the last few times. People don't like their food handled with filthy hands, trust me. Probably will return and give it another go but I'll have to avoid this gentleman and just get sausages.
Ignore the “ghost riders” review. Conveniently doesn’t show their real name. The “solid build” kid they talk of is lovely and this butcher is the best I’ve been to. I’ve never had a bbq with their meat without getting a compliment on how good it is.
So, in contrast to all the glowing reviews, I did not have a great experience from this butcher. I had ducked in to the supermarket and on the way out decided to stop and buy some rissoles for dinner. They were advertised around $14kg. I ordered 4 rissoles and was charged $8.90.
Surprised how expensive they were, I weighed the rissoles when I got home. They weighed 540g (including the packaging). By my estimate, I was actually charged around $18kg (I would never have bought them at this price). The rissoles themselves were very tasty, however my Foreman grill took off about 100g of fat.
I wondered at the time if the guy who served me was deliberately overcharging but that is something I could never prove. This was the first time I have ever been to this butcher and unfortunately, the last. I don't think anybody these days has enough money to get ripped off.
Very disappointing.
Probably my favourite 'in-store' butcher on the GC - they make awesome gourmet sausages, in fact they've won competitions with them, they always have lots of product on hand and will not hesitate to help you out with the makings of a good feed!
The best quality meat and friendly service. Love the scotch fillet and the award winning sausages!
