Loaves and Fishes Street Meet Care Service reviews
27Definitely recommend coming here. The food trolleys are packed with lots of items for a cheap price and the $2 lunches are yummy and always changing. It’s awesome to see a great place helping those in need especially with the cost of living nowadays. Thank you so much!
Lady at the counter extremely helpful. Bought the $50 hamper. Amazing value. Everything in good condition. I shared with my neighbours. We are all on pension so it has been a great help.
Thank you so much to the wonderful friendly staff times are tuff at the moment so the $50 food parcel is much needed
Thanks for being amazing!
I found loaves and fishes a very essential place for grocery shopping. The staff were extremely friendly towards me and I asked for something which I seen there on my previous visit and a staff member bent over backwards to get me one from out the back. Their food vouchers/hampers were well woth the $50 and their grocery store was very reasonably priced. Youghurts were half the price of a grocery store. Lots of savings to be had. I will be heading there from now on.
These are God's people, feeding the hungry. Without judgement or reservation. A blessing you are.
Excellent group of people who are providing an invaluable service to the community. They have great value food parcels (low cost, but not free) that are very generous - able to feed a family for a week. Lots of fruit and vegetables are included, which is better for your health. There is a lot of the option is also the option of a small grocery store to buy additional items you may want to add. They take Centrelink Basics Cards. Service with a smile and heart.
When I met pastor scott Bourke at loaves and fishes slacks creek. He made it clear I wasn't welcome. He asked me what I thought of the food hampers. I said they were wonderful. He told me there was other places they do hampers I could go to instead. He tried to get rid of me and when that didn't work i presume his wife. Because pastor scott Bourke won't confirm who she is. So his wife pushed a trolley at me. From a few feet away. Crashing it into the counter where an elderly lady was standing.
Pastor Scott Bourke said he would de
with it and I could get hamper. They would give me assistance. I pay for the hamper it's not free. To prove they weren't being genuine. They blocked me on fb. So I can't see what's in the hampers. What's free etc
They believe they have favourites.they choose who they help. And I'm not on that list.
Not good the website says you guys shut at 5pm i came all the way there to find you guys shut you guys need to update your online.
Honestly cannot believe the help and assistance provided. The value for $40 was amazing! Certainly fed 3 adults and a child for more than a week!
These guys are amazing. These hampers are definitely worth every penny. Scott is doing an awesome job, and such a lovely guy. Will be going back many more times!
As expected, the range of food available is not extensive but what is available is properly organized and, once you understand it, it is easy enough to check if what you're looking for is there.
Prices are not bargain basement but budget. Some items are similar to supermarkets and some are cheaper, sometimes a bit cheaper.
Lots of variety, amazing amount for $40. Too much for pensioners, but sharing with friends is the answer. Staff were so helpful, blue me away. What a lovely staff. I believe most are volunteering. Good on you. God is great.
Wow just wow, this is such a amazing place, , the staff are so lovely and make you feel very welcome, they are making such a difference in peoples lives.
Would highly recommend stopping by and having a look.
This place is unbelievable, people who are a bit down financially can get food for their family's and a great price. Some of it is near use by date but you get a good amount of food
First time here, plenty of stock at cheap prices, bought a LiteNeasy meal (405 grams) for $2-. Church run small supermarket, need your patronage.
Helpful, non-judgemental staff. Great options, for all budgets and a fantastic community service for those in need.
Having used their services in Toowoomba, I tried their site here. Reasonable sized hampers for the price and they have a shop next door, which is great for restocking the pantry. I will be going there again in the future.
Poor customer service but appreciate the hamper help. It's like the workers look down on people who go to seek help. Sad but true
Brilliant! Helpful and understanding - great to see the support given to those in the community.
Well priced items to buy in the shop and then when I produced my receipt outside they gave me a trolley full of free food lots of fruit and other things on offer outside for free bread rolls and tubs of marscapone it has helped me stretch our food dollar in these tough times Thank you to everyone at Loaves and Fishes
