We have had jo debbie and shelly with our kids and the teachers are beautiful.

My rating is for the school not the educators they can only work within their guidelines and employers policies.

I removed my son as he wasn't progressed to another class when requested so he could actually learn to swim, he was kept in a small 4m area and is physically too tall to learn strokes. He is 6 and 125cm tall. So no, he was not at a level for a higher class but by this logic he never will be.
He did swimming with his school and progressed a lot further in 4 days in a pool he could stretch out in.

My daughter moved up quickly as she is an obvious natural fish- however that was after a few classes of me complaining about the conditions of her classes. The teachers are given 4 kids who can not swim and some of those kids need to be carried and cried the whole time. Its dangerous and I my daughter was one who went under as the teacher was tending to kids who were not happy in the water at all. I was told if my child was like that i would have to be in there with her (she wasnt) so why are there multiples in one class? It happened with the same kids for several classes until I spoke up. Its not fair to those who are confident in the water and it is not fair on the teachers.

5stars to the teachers though and Miss shelly has been teaching my daughter up until recently as my daughter has been unwell with ear problems.

I have cancelled my daughers enrolment twice now as it seems to not get registered and am also still being charged. No one answers the phone, voicemail is full. I emailed 3 days ago and still no response from management.
I facebook messaged and for the first time someone did respond with “management will be in contact” so this is my 4th attempt to have the enrolment ended and to stop payments.

So management…… can you please refund me all the monies you have taken and kept as well as the cash credit you have in my account. And ensure my kids are not enrolled and you remove my bank details. Thank you x

I brought my 3.5 year old to this swim school for a trial. She’s been swimming since 8 weeks old elsewhere and is a confident and independent swimmer.
We brought her here after trialling a couple of other swim schools too as we are looking for a closer school.
The venue is nice, easy to get to and a good sized pool.
The class appeared okay, however my daughter was being supported in everything she did and wasn’t let to show off any of her independence or skills - I looked past this as this is common for trials because they don’t yet know your child’s ability. However once we got out of the pool I was informed that the instructor doesn’t think my daughter was suitable for that class and would need a lower level. Obviously I was quite confused as at her other 2 schools she was advanced and they even put her up early. She can also swim across the pool independently and at no point during the trial class did she seem unhappy with being in the pool alone or her level of confidence - in fact she appeared bored and was getting annoyed that the teacher wouldn’t even let her swim alone.
I explained this to reception that if she was let to actually swim independently she would have shown she is actually at that level (in fact I noticed she was doing better than 2 of the other participants in that level who are regulars in that level). I was told she’d have to go in the lower level.
I know my daughter well and if she was bored in the level 3 already then she’d be bored in the lower level so I didn’t enrol her.
After the class my daughter said it was boring and she wants to go back to her old school where it was fun and she did more - I guess that’s the answer I needed!
We will continue elsewhere where my child’s skill level is acknowledged and she is allowed to thrive in her environment rather than be babied and then told she’s not confident.
Not a good experience, which is sad considering the school is nice. I would imagine the children wouldn’t progress as well due to the style of teaching there because the children really are babied quite a lot compared to the other schools we have attended - something to keep an eye on if you send your kid there.
We currently go to rackleys and will continue there unless we find somewhere closer as my child doesn’t want to go back to little snappers especially if she has to be in the younger baby class (under 3 years old) when she’s an independent and confident 3.5 year old swimmer.
Thanks for the trial! Hoping this is a lesson learnt for the school and they will tweak their trials a bit to avoid losing more customers.

I have sent my daughter (8yrs) to Little Snappers for around 2 years in the swim squad and now my son (3yrs) who is learning to swim. Although my daughter no longer swims here (chose a different sport) every single teacher was absolutely incredible with her and noticed what she needed to work on each lesson ensuring she was making progress. She has been to swim schools since she was 3yrs old and this is by far my favourite swim school.
My Son has been at Little Snappers now for 2 months, and being a full of energy 3 year old boy the staff are great with being patient with him and supporting him.
The staff all work together so well and treat each other respectfully, creating an amazing environment.

Very special mention to Emmy who is the main front of house staff member that most people will deal with. Truly, if she wasn’t there to deal with for the last couple of years, I don’t know if we would have the same love for little snappers without her. I have seen her late Tuesday nights dealing with adults for aqua aerobics, seen her deal with parents and children, seen her filling in for swim squad classes and just this morning go out of her way to help my son regain his water confidence after a recent fall in the water. Every interaction she has with staff or customers is compassionate genuine and friendly. She truly is an invaluable staff member in my opinion!

Thanks Little Snappers! We will continue to be loyal customers for my son, maybe daughter again in the future, and our soon to arrive new bub.

Trying to enrol or find out any information from this place is impossible. I have filled out an enquiry form, sent an email, phoned and left all my details and also physically gone in there and left all my details only to never hear back from anyone. My impression of this facility is poor as the staff either have terrible communication skills or management don't care.

I recommend Little Snappers as a reliable, safe and fun place for a swimming lesson! From newborn welcome to Waters to adults' lessons. The admin are very friendly, responsive and flexible. Although small, the place is clean and accommodates all needs (change rooms, baby change tables, showers, disability toilets). The kids lessons are busy ones and that's a good sign!

Administration of bookings, communication, front desk etiquette were substandard.

Unfortunately, I cancelled lessons for my son as there was no consistency with teachers, lesson times or structure.

I was disappointed as the actual facility is what attracted us in the first place.

So my son has special needs and swimming lessons in australia are a must- needless to say was nervous. Sadly his first experiance ever with water at a swimming school was 'traumatic' at the risk of sounding dramatic. He was instantly dunked, thrown in the pool and we were told as parents screaming is normal and the more exposure the better
Afterwards the failure of that class was blamed as 'naturally children dont trust there fathers for support they need there mums" and I was guilted for not being in the water.even delivering my second child via c section the previous fortnight. It took over a year to get my son anywhere near water without screaming tears or having accidents. We tried again after glowing reviews with little snappers and What a blessing they have been. Miss niss had both my sons, dad and i in the water and was fantastic. My little man afriad was blowing bubbles and was never forced or put into a situation he couldnt handle. 2 months in and he was underwater, jumping willing off the side and able to saftley return to the wall. I can not praise this place enough. A year on now and he is now a competent swimmer with miss kelly whonis just as fabulous. Its like catching up with old friends and she is strict enough to assist a sensory child into putting on goggles but never raises a voice or shows her fustration. She is fantatsic at the games and songs which now have my little man a safe swimmer who cant wait for every wednesday night.

To think just 4 months ago this little boy was extremely frightened of swimming pools. The ladies at Little Swimmers, Yarrabilba teach my two sons, each presenting their own challenges however Wendy and Lisa have been amazing! They have been extremely patient and nurturing and since enrolling here both boys have come such a long way in such a short time. All the staff are very friendly, welcoming and I also find them to be very helpful and accommodating. I have tried 3 other swim schools in the area and when speaking to others have no hesitation in recommending Little Snappers! If I could rate them higher than 5 I would. Thank you Little Snappers Yarrabilba for restoring my boys confidence and showing them how to enjoy swimming again:)

My son has gone to Little Snappers for two terms now and our family love it there, the staff are friendly, we have all had a go swimming with him even my Mum who struggles at times with mobility, Little Snappers facilitated even her to join the fun so she didn't miss out on swim class with her grandson. Their facilities are great, always clean and tidy. Very happy with them and would happily recommend them.

The staff at Little Snappers Swim School Yarrabilba are friendly, patient and are great with the kids in and out of the water.
The classes are capped to a small number and make up classes are available when life gets in the way. Would highly recommend this swim school for all ages and skill level.
