Lifeline Shop Lawnton reviews
17I’ve come here 5-7 times in the last 9 months to drop off donations in the 3 cages out the front. I had a lot of good quality home stuff to donate and every single time I come, there’s an old snobby man standing out by the cages watching my every move. I donated a brand new Russell Hobbs juicer and he questioned whether it had all the parts and still worked, wouldn’t take my perfectly good epson printer because they’d have to sell it too cheap. This is a charity store and these things are being given free and we all know the workers get first dibs on anything they want so what is the problem. Do you not want donations. So upsetting to see someone so cynical questioning free things.
Really big op shop. I like that clothing is sorted by style and size to make it easy to look through.not the cheapest prices but I look at it as going to a good cause.
This is one of the best op-shops I have been to. It's huge and I always find something interesting.
There was a tinkerbell doll, approximately 8cm tall, new in box. The sign on the box read, "$120 on eBay, for you. $60". Likewise a 10cm high Donald duck figure, "On eBay $80, for you. $40. " How greedy. These items have been donated. The shop is manned by unpaid volunteers. There are no opportunities for financially challenged people. Gone is the time when op shops were about helping people who are struggling. The prices here are pure greed and an absolute rort. Very disappointing. It made me sad to witness this.
Pre covid this shop was amazing.
Great stock, fantastic prices and just a general awesome all round op shop experience.
Post covid all lifeline shops have become overpriced with inconsistent pricing with a huge push on profits. And this one is no different.
This store houses plenty of stock of various types.
This shop is WAY too expensive for donated product eg $8 for man’s polo, you can buy new from Kmart for $5, everything too expensive. Whomever sets prices needs to be realistic if sales are expected
It's OK. Has stuff that humans didn't want anymore and passed on to hopefully help other humans.
Unfortunately this one suffers from a bad case of 'the brands' - any name brand is three times the price of Kmart-tier goods. Good range of everything, but don't expect a great bargain unless you catch someone slipping.
Another disappointment in pricing its inconsistent and when told that your pricing is inconsistent not a care is given
Shop is nice though staff so so
Some of the prices are pretty outrageous, but you can find some bargains if you're willing to hunt
SOME AMAZING HUMAN BOUGHT OUR AWESOME OP SHOP DRESS FOR $80 AS AN ACT OF KINDNESS!? So grateful.
Good location, access and plenty of parking. Good range of clothes, homewares, books, cds an dvds. Has a good range of wedding dresses last time i visited. Always enjoy shopping there, usually find something worthwhile. Staff are pleasant. Complex adjacent to other op shops.
Bought clothes here.good price and selection. They always seem to have large macona coffee jars.for 2 dollars. Great staff.
I took a corner unit a while ago, i went back they put a price tag on the unit of$90,
And the prices they have on Tupperware is ridiculous.and the prices on clothing is twice as much as op shops or sometime you would buy new, for their clothing.
Everything is so overpriced! I went in there one day to browse in the hopes of purchasing a cheap cosplay costume, I chose there because it was a "bridal" store. I find the perfect dress in there for $500! I was asking the lady at the dress if they could mark it down as it was obviously a well loved dress but it didn't match the price tag it was given. The lady told me that $500 is the best price you will get around here. I went to another op-shop nearby and I find a dress similar looking for $25. Customer Service is alright, but the prices don't match what you are paying for. I thought lifeline was a place to help the helpless, I didn't think it suddenly turned into a business trying to take every penny away from you.
Very friendly staff good selection of bridal and kids, also have larger sizes and reasonable prices best op -shop ever
Being an out of home student, I have not always had allot of money. When moving to Strathpine I got all my furniture and some electrical appliances from Life line. The staff were wonderful and helped me get all I needed for my new home. They were fair on price and arranged for a delivery of all goods.
I recommend this store for all furniture, the quality is great and the price is fair.
