Liberty / Tin Can Bay Travel Stop reviews
12I had the pleasure of meeting Steve from the service station yesterday. I had spoken to him earlier on the phone and when i arrived and asked if he was Steve he said yes you must be the lady I spoke to and proceeded to get my old gas bottle out of the car and put the new one in. He was so friendly and helpful. Thank you Steve.
Good hours for fuel 6am to 6pm.
Helpful attendants, fuel cheaper than the local Marina.
Plenty of car parking spaces. Places to park with van near undercover seating. Nice view. Dogs ran free having fun in water with owner & kids. Relaxing area.
Servo advertises it is open from 6am. Just went to the Servo and it is now 7: 05am and they aren’t open. This is the third time this has happened. Terrible for the only Servo in town on school holidays and a Sunday.
The only servo in Tin Can Bay closed for the day due to a minor, short term power cut. Other shops in TCB managed to stay open for the day, enduring the power outage. Not good enough, hope another servo comes to TCB so people can get fuel when needed.
Pretty decent pricing, Bloody glad you got aircon now. Next project i reckon should be an automatic door. But overall Havent had a problem with the fuel and its fairly consistent in price vs all the others at gympie etc. I use 95 and 98, havent chucked any diesel in as gotta go to gympie for that, but see plenty of people here all the time. Local petroleum seems better to me than the big others. LPG swap and go should be cheaper but.
They ran out of regular unleaded not good, I suppose at least they are now open at decent hours and fuel prices are the same as Gympie which is good.
The only outlet for fuel in Tin Can Bay, I had to refuel prior to my return trip home, shortly after leaving my vehicle sputtered and coughed. NOT HAPPY AT ALL
Next trip I won't be getting fuel at this outlet, that's for sure.
As a tin can bay resident I am sick and tired of exorbitant fuel prices here. Consistently 5-6 cents per litre dearer than Gympie there is no justification for this when cartage is only another 50klms from town. But I suppose when you have the monopoly you can charge what you like. Personally I am going to boycott the business and take extra drums to town to get me through.
Just heard the same people that ruined Goomboorian Travel Stop and fired all the people there are going to buy this place too. Such a shame.
Local servo at Tin Can Bay.friendly staff and have gas bottles refills and mechanical car repairs
Filled up my Ute with Diesel. After driving around 70 ks water fuel light came on. Had to dump fuel and put a new fuel filter in and buy another 150 litres. Will not use that fuel station again.
